There is snorkeling and kayaking right off the beach and superb snorkeling at a reef just a short kayak off the beach. Our property manager, Pichi, is available to take guests snorkeling at the reef or for fishing and island tours (at an additional cost). The gorgeous infinity pool overlooks the sea and lush gardens.
Casa Serena guests benefit exclusively from one free hour of guided snorkeling with our property manager who is a certified diver and a $100 discount on the regular price of an island boat tour.
There is a café-bar on site.
A world class dive shop is close by and many diving outfitters on the island. Casa Serena is centrally located on the island, a mid-way point for all your day trips, but set back off the main road for a completely peaceful natural feel.
Casa Serena is a great place for couples, families with young children, groups of friends, family reunions… those who are looking for a beautiful and tranquil spot to enjoy, with car and taxi access to the busier bar and restaurant tourist scene.
I am a Canadian working Mom of two daughters. We love Roatán. We want you to love your stay too! Our on site property manager Pichi will do his best to help make your stay relaxing, fun, and comfortable. We want you to feel right at home and leave with your batteries recharged!
Debbie Johnston purchased this condo in 2012
Casa Serena is a unique destination unlike others on Roatán. It is located in a tranquil and natural setting, yet within easy driving distance of stores, bars and restaurants. The infinity pool and beachfront offer the best of both water worlds. Excellent snorkeling, kayaking and swimming on site.
Soothing Caribbean breezes, breathtaking views of the sea from the condo balconies, complete tranquility, gorgeous infinity pool, the sound of the waves and wind to lull guests to sleep, tons of natural light in this comfortable newly renovated condo.
Our family spent seven days in this wonderful condo. Our oldest is graduating in May and this was our last big family vacation with him and our daughter (16) before he left for the military. The kids enjoyed their time here. We were able to eat most of our meals at the condo, which saved us money. We did our shopping an Eldon's in French Harbor, we went to the one in Coxen Hole and did not care for it as much. The Eldon's in French Harbor is off the main road near the Bojangles Chicken Restaurant. The beach was beautiful and peaceful, not many tourist at all. There were days when we were the only ones on the beach. Pichi the property manager took us snorkeling and spear fishing on afternoon in the bay. We were the only ones in the area, which was nice. I would recommend taking advantage of Pichi taking you out if you have the chance. Pichi and his wife Elsie also ate a meal with us at the condo and our daughter had a great opportunity to practice her Spanish. Some things I would recommend if you chose to stay here: Rent a car, preferably a Jeep like vehicle, the roads can be rough on the east end. Explore the island, we never felt unsafe driving around. The condo is off the beaten path, but if you have a car it isn't a problem. It is quiet and peaceful at night. Go to Marble Hill Farms and try their jellies and jams and eat a meal at the Crow's nest. Take the yoga mats Debbie provides and a pillow and go to the roof and star gaze, it is amazing. Buy some fresh fruit from a street vendor, it is very fresh and sweet. Just relax and try not to pack in a bunch of activities, because the condo is in such a beautiful setting.
Casa Serena was just what we expected. Our family of 4 my husband and our two children 8 and 10 loved it! Debbie the owner was great on responding to all my questions promptly. Casa Serena is perfectly situated, we were about 30 minutes to West Bay and about 35 minutes to Punta Gorda. Pichi (the property manager) and Elsie were great we got to know them really well and spent a couple of days with them snorkeling and fishing. We were there a total of 12 days and got very familiar with the island. We could call Casa Serena our second home. Our family did not want to leave the beautiful island, it was the best vacation ever! We do plan on coming back in a year or two:-)
I traveled with a group of my close friends and we were all amazed with how comfortable and well equipped the condo is!
From the beginning Deb(owner) so efficient with prompt responses, I spoke to her to feel more comfortable and she was so helpful to make sure I did! The condo is located in a quiet area from the touristic areas which for our group was great, only 20 minutes from west bay/ west end, it has a private beach area and a pool and private bar; bartender Henry makes great drinks!!!
I'm an event planner and customer service is a big deal for me and I was beyond impressed with Staff, Pichi property manager was awesome! He gave us great recommendations and recommended our taxi driver who took us on an island tour and we ended spending a great day with Locals in Punta Gorda!
Thanks for the attention to detail in your condo Deb!! Great Staff! Made our vacation the best!
Once you arrive make sure you mention Casa Serena at Club Natale for taxi drivers to locate.
Our family of 6 found Casa Serena a beautiful place to stay and although very private, including the beach, decently convenient to the airport, ferry terminal and shopping. The condo location may not be for everyone in that it had a million dollar view, great pool, nice (and reasonably priced) restaraunt, private beachfront with seating/shade and was clean, large and decently equipped...perfect for our requirements. But some visitors to Roatan may prefer being on the main beach area where many of the restaraunts and other activities are, which is a good 1/2 hour away. We visited it and found it very crowded but is evidently preferred by some. Another nice thing about this location is it is central so you can head over to French Harbour in minutes by car or go even farther for a to die for Lobster meal at Parrott Key's restaraunt. It worked really well for 6 of us and could have easily accomodated a few more but at the same time was romantic feeling and would be perfectly suitable for a honeymoon. One issue you need to keep in mind for seniors or very youg children/infants is there is no elevator, so you are up and down the stairs to the 3rd floor unit. There is a washroom on the main floor pool level though so that minimises the requirement.
My family and I (my husband & daughter 12) just returned from a 7 day stay at this condo and have to say it was nothing less than excellent! The condo itself was very large, clean and would easily sleep 8 to 10 people. Condo had everything you needed and upon my return sent Deb a few suggestions on some nice to haves (like a kettle & toaster) and she said she would get them on her next visit. The road leading up to the complex took us a little bit by surprised as it was quite bumpy and rough, however, the drive was worth it. The view from the condo was absolutely beautiful and the constant breeze coming off the water was wonderful and eliminated the need for air-conditioning most of the time. I was pleasantly surprised to find a masseuse on the beach and enjoyed one of the best massages I think I have ever had. Angelo the bartender and Joesph Natal were extremely helpful and very nice. The food and drinks in the bar/restaurant were surprisingly good and reasonably priced. If you are going I would highly recommend taking the dune buggy tour from Sandblasters - which was not too far from the condo (for the 3 of us it cost $200) but it was well worth it and a really fun experience - prepare to get very dirty! Also, I would recommend that you go to Frenchy's 44 - just simply paradise on earth and if you are into tropical drinks you have to try their Monkey La La - the best on the island. Gio's Restaurant in French Harbor was fantastic. Treat yourself and go for the Eldon Special! The condo is located in a quieter part of the island but not too far from anything including West End & West Bay. If you plan to stay in this condo, I would recommend you get a car. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone who is planning a trip to Roatan!
