Located in the vibrant Miracle Mile district, this top floor flat is just minutes to Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood and only 20 min to Santa Monica beaches. Miracle Mile offers a great selection of shops, museums, galleries, restaurants and attractions.

DESCRIPTION:

This sunny, top floor apartment feels like a home because it's on a quiet, tree-lined street, has a private entrance AND a private driveway that is yours during your stay. AND the apartment has no shared walls; the entire top floor is yours.

The home has an open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining or relaxing. It's bright, functional, designer done, yet oozes period charm with hardwood floors, chandeliers, coved ceilings, balconies, Art Deco sconces, hand-painted tiles and much more.

BEDROOMS:

The THREE bedrooms are accessed down a center hallway. Each bedroom is spacious and well appointed featuring a new queen bed, new high quality mattress and luxurious high thread-count linens.

BATHS:

There are TWO full Baths, each professionally redesigned with designer tile and fixtures that exude a timeless elegant feel. The main bath has a luxurious over-sized tub. The other bathroom is also redone with designer Ann Sacks tile, Kohler fixtures and a walk in shower. Bathrooms are stocked with plush Egyptian cotton towels and organic soaps and shampoos.

PARKING:

This rental includes your own private driveway that can accommodate 2-3 cars.

KITCHEN AND DINING ROOMS:

The kitchen is designed for cooking with high-end appliances, tile floors, granite counter tops and plenty of cabinet space. It also has its own breakfast nook featuring a designer Noguchi table with Eames chairs.

The dining room features a walnut slab Parsons table that seats 6 and overlooks a romantic balcony with hand-painted Mexican tile.

LIVING ROOM:

The spacious living room features comfortable and stylish seating where you can enjoy a full entertainment experience. For chilly nights, relax by the gas operated fireplace. If you want to watch TV there's a large 56 inch flat screen TV with surround sound.

Patricia purchased this apartment in 2005

This property is a very special 1920's era duplex that captivated us with its charm, open layout, romantic balconies, wood floors, barrel ceilings and celebrity past. British glam-rock musician, Marc Bolan (T. Rex) lived in this home in the 1970s with his wife, Grammy nominated Gloria Jones. She was the first singer to record the song, Tainted Love. We love this home and this neighborhood and work in the area. Patricia is an Entertainment Marketing executive and Steven works on-set producing commercials and music videos.

Completely renovated yet retains an old Hollywood glamour feel. Layout is very open for a 1920s era home. Very well appointed with 2 balconies and a spacious private back patio dedicated for this unit. You'll also have your own driveway for your car so parking is very convenient, just steps from your front door. You will be living in the entire 1800 sq. foot top floor. Extremely quiet and peaceful street. It's a refuge in the middle of bustling LA.

Great location!

This was exactly what we were looking for to accommodate all 7 of us. A warm and inviting home! The beds were very comfortable and it was a necessity for us to have 2 bathrooms. We seemed to be in the midst of everything - an easy (well...we found out what LA traffic is about) drive to everywhere we wanted to go. We loved the privacy of the home - a parking spot off the street and our own entrance. Although we did not use the kitchen - it was loaded with all of the amenities you'd desire. Our weekend was unfortunately a rainy one - but the patio looked lovely...though wet! We would stay here again!

The appartement is typically as described on photos,The garden or Pathio is not maintained,kitchen facillities were perfect.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: I'm thrilled you enjoyed our property. Regarding the patio and gardens, they are maintained; a gardener comes every other week. I believe the patio cushions were not on the patio furniture when you arrived because of the rain that occurred just before you arrived. Had I known you couldn't find them, I would have made sure to get them for you during your stay.

Fabulous choice

I was searching the vrbo.com website for a place that was suitable for an extended family, had a full kitchen, had a fireplace, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, and a central location. The photographs on vrbo.com site caught my eye because this house had more than I was looking for and would have been mine in a parallel universe . The place was spacious, clean and airy, had a yard, was upstairs and private. I especially liked the design of the remodeled kitchen with a gas stove with big burners and oven and a deep farmer's sink. We were close to museums (LACMA, Science Center, Natural History, Getty), markets, local attractions (Guitar center in Hollywood and the Grove were hits). Our large extended family (from 10 to 92, from Utah, Hawaii, Maryland, Colorado, and locally) thought it was the perfect special gathering place. The artwork, retro items, reading material, kitchen/ bathroom design, touches of tangerine and browns, varied textures of wool, leather, and yarns, kitchen tile, etc felt like my own home. We made haupia (Hawaiian coconut pudding), soups, turkey, and roasts. We also tried a well-known, fried chicken restaurant (Roscoe's) less than a block from the house (yum). The gas fireplace (which I first thought was a flat screen TV) was easy to use and made the large living room warm and cozy. We gravitated there every evening. The kids intuitively were able to use the Mac mini to navigate the internet for music and Netflix. The property manager was responsive and helpful. This was a fabulous choice.

Great location centrally located to LA, Beverly Hills, and LAX. Beautiful, well kept house. Top level of a duplex. Downstairs neighbors quiet and friendly, if you happen to meet them. Well stocked, convenient floor plan, on demand hot water, very comfortable beds. Great attention to details. Add to all this, this owner is very accessible and helpful. It was a great all round experience!
