This is a 1 bedroom apartment, on beautiful beachfront property which runs from the ocean to the highway. It has tile floors and granite counter-tops in the kitchen. It is a new building and is very clean. This is an air-conditioned unit with hot water. It has a nice front porch for enjoying the ocean view. It also has beautiful landscaping with a large swimming and matured coconut palms. This is American owned and operated. We pride ourselves with quality linens and mattresses. We have some guests that stay year round and other guests that rent monthly, weekly and daily. We have an on-site resident manager. Feel free to call or email anytime to talk to us about this unit. May have other units available, please call or email us for details.
We are 25 min. from the city of Dumaguete which has a new large Robinsons shopping mall, countless restaurants and shops. It is an extremely friendly and safe city. The bus goes by our property every 20 to 30 minutes and cost about 75 cents(U.S) to ride to Dumaguete. The last bus is about 8 P.M. so it is very easy to spend the day in town.
The diving and snorkeling in this area is fantastic. We are only 20 minutes from APO ISLAND which is listed as one of the best dive in the world. There are numerous dive operations with in 10 to 15 minutes from our property. Guided dive trips are typically $25 to $50 U.S. dollars. Even our beach is truly excellent snorkeling.
I am an American man married to a filipina, we have been married for 15 years. I was born in St. Louis Missouri and have live most of my life in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri. My wife is from Leyte Philippines. This property will eventually our retirement home. Just not ready to be in one place yet. We also spent most of our time in Cape Coral Florida. We are usually at oceanside 30 apartments in philippines Dec. thru March.
Marshall, Arlene or Rick and Reggie purchased this apartment in 2006
We spent 2 years looking for ocean property in philippines. I guess our biggest priorities were, a safe area for my wife and family, a nice beach, and I wanted only to be half hour from the city that had everything that I desire, restuarants, shopping etc..etc..
We offer a complete kitchen, most all of the resorts in our area offer no kitchen, they want you to eat at their restaurant thats why a lot of our guest stay for a long period of time. We do our best to make them feel at home and help them find what ever they need.
Had a great time staying here. Rick and Reggie were very responsive to our needs. Thanks Arlene for your warm greeting and genuine concern.
The down side to our stay is more related to the Philippines than to anything in the control of the property owners and/or managers. For example, electricity cuts out far too often for my tastes, the internet connection is terrible and transportation is a pain in the ass. But welcome to the Philippines. However, i would recommend the place if your in the area because it is well maintained and very comfortable by western standards. The prices are very reasonable and you don't feel like your getting nickled and dime all the time. For example, they washed our clothes for $2 and got a great massage for something like $5. Overall, me and Lynn had a great time there and will definitely return there if only to say hello.
sorry for the late review, Ive been busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest...
We had another great stay a couple weeks in October/November. Rick and Reggie were great again and the help was friendly helpful as always. Reggie did one heck of a job organizing Jims 70th birthday party. The catered food, Cocktails and girls singing karaoke Made us feel like we were in Paridise..... hey thats right we were in paridise... We visited lee at the new place a couple times on our Motor bike rides and liked what you are doing there. but the beach is better for my taste. Planing another trip down in a few months. Your place is still the best place that Ive stayed in the Philippines and there was a good group of guests while we were there feels like home.
We stayed (basically snorkeled and self-catered) for one week in one-bedroom apartment in the beginning of November 2013 and now we should write a review. But instead of long review, just a short attempt to add any value. To the travelers: please, stop surfing web pages for the property in the area, come here, you will love it just as we did. To the owner: should you ever be interested to attract short-term guests, name each piece of your property, just as you did it with Cebu apartment.
P.S. Thank you, Marshall and Arlene, for this version of Bounty paradise and your clear communication via e-mail! Thanks to all long term guests for your directions and friendship! Especially to James for the invitation to his unforgettable birthday party! Many happy returns! Thank you, Mike, for the listening to the right music! Thank you, Reggie, for smiling to your guests even through the pain, even early in the morning! Wishing you soonest recovery! Thank you, Rick, for the drop-off to the airport just in time! Next time we would ask you for the pick and hope to route through the Robinson's supermarket in Dumaguete (the nearest kiosk supply is not sufficient for self-caterers)! Cheers from Russia!
First off, let me say THANK YOU to all of the staff. They made our stay very personalized and it was truly appreciated. I consider it a once in a lifetime experience and I've been to the Philippines before and will go again. I almost don't want to give a review because this place seems like a hidden treasure that I want to keep to myself. I stayed in an apartment. It was exactly as the pictures show. Well maintained, clean, comfortable, and it has AC and hot water. The staff is always working and are quick to smile, say hello and help you if need be. There is a small store just across the road for most of your needs but nothing is really that far away. We snorkeled on Apo Island as recommended and it was everything I hoped it would be. A must do if you stay at Oceanside 30. There are many beach resorts close by and all have decent restaurants. I can positively say that I recommend staying here. The price was very reasonable and communications with the manager was always timely and courteous. I hope to meet Marshal and Rick next time around, but Reggie has it under control. She gets it done. Thanks Reggie for a great vacation. Cheers (-;
No disappointments. Thanks Marshal and Rick and all the hard working staff. Simply can't be beat. Very quiet, plenty of room, fine furnishings, very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this property to any traveler.
See you in a few months
This is a great property. I have traveled around the world and can honestly say that this property is one of my favorites. It is clean and reasonably priced. Coveniently located on the bus route. We also rented motorbikes and rode all over. Very safe and freindly local people as well as the long term guests. The pool is also clean and refreshing. The fact that there is an onsite American manager who is married to a fillipina is a big plus. No confusion and not bad surprises as can often happen while traveling. They picked us up from the airport for a nominal fee and were very helpful with anything we needed. The area is nice and it was the best beach anywhere I have seen it the philipines. No disappointments. Thanks Marshal and rick and all the hard working staff.
See you next year or more likely in a few months
