These properties are situated 15kms west of Sneem and 15 kms east of Watervillle (with its championship golfcourse ) overlooking the Kenmare Estuary in South Kerry - an ideal location from which to explore this magical part of Ireland. Nearby you can visit either the home of Daniel O'Connel, 'The Liberator' with tropical gardens overlooking the wonderful Derrynane beeches, or Staigue Fort, the finest example of a pre-Christian fort in Ireland. You can row, fish and shrimp from rocks just by Pier Cottage; or go deep sea, lake or river fishing. In summer there is a fun watersports centre nearby; 5 excellent golf courses within 40 mins drive-see details below-, horseriding for all ages and endless beautiful walks. There are numerous excursions - north to Killarney, west to Valencia Island, boat trips to the Skelligs; south to Bantry Bay via Kenmare with its tempting shops and restaurants. Do leave time to enjoy the lengendary Irish pubs; and indeed to absorb the beauty of Westcove itself.

PARKNASILLA – www.parknasillahotel.ie - just east of Sneem – very scenic 12 hole course – fun for all the family.
Within 45 mins drive – RING OF KERRY – www.ringofkerrygolf.com – 18 holes with panoramic views over Kenmare Estuary – take a buggy unless you are a mountain goat! KENMARE – www.kenmaregolf.com – the first 9 holes of beautifully kept parkland are followed by a hillier 2nd 9 – good value for money and an excuse to visit this ‘shopper’s paradise’.
