Excellent home and amenities

  • 5 of 5

I've rented several homes using VRBO, and this by far has to be top 3! What I appreciated most was that I didn't have to contact the owners for anything!! Everything was simple to use, properly labeled, and was just as the description indicated! There was so much space, it made the home feel empty, even with the 13 adults we had. The property had so many amenities, we didn't even get a chance to use them all. We were in town for a ski conference, and not 1 member of our party had issues with distance to skiing, grocery shopping, and everything the area has to offer. Really look forward to coming again in the future!

Krumm Kamp 2014

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I visited the Roaring Fork valley in 2013 and I fell in love with the area, and wanted the whole family to experience it. So, in August 2014, we made plans to surprise my husband, John, for his 70th birthday. He thought our annual Krumm Kamp family vacation was Labor Day weekend on Stockton Lake in Missouri. In August John and I went to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Ft. Collins. They said we were going into the mountains to a 'surprise' location. After four hours of driving and passing by Dillon, Vail etc. John was getting a little weary and annoyed. When we pulled into the driveway of this incredible 9,000 square foot mountain home - and the rest of the family was there with signs "Surprise G'pa - welcome to the REAL Krumm Kamp 2014 - the Mountain Birthday", he burst into tears. Our time spent in this fabulous home and in the Roaring Fork valley was one of the best vacations ever, with activities to please everyone in the family from age 7 to 70. The home itself? In one daughter-in-law's words: 'off the charts!' So much room and so many wonderful amenities at a very reasonable price. Hats off to the owner, Peter Dolan, for thinking of everything possible to make it a fantastic memory, and for working with us to keep up the subterfuge for the birthday guy!

Best vacation house I've ever stayed

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation thanks to the owner Peter! It’s not easy to find a big house near Aspen area in the peak ski season with an affordable price and I’m glad that we found Peter’s house. The house was very luxury, huge, immaculate, way beyond what we expected, and a great location for our visit to Aspen ski resorts. In fact, we wish we could have stayed longer and spend more time at this house. The owner Peter was incredible, he was very patient answering all my email inquiries, when I told him that we will arrive late, he turned on all the lights for us when we arrived at night. All the facilities in the house were in excellent condition, very spacious bedrooms, kitchen, living room and entertainment area. After one day’s skiing, we soaked in the hot tub and also used the steam room. The house was perfect and the price was very affordable. Next time when we come back to Aspen, I will definitely pick this house again!

Amazing place

  • 5 of 5

I looked long and hard for a place that would sleep this many people at a price we could afford. Peter was amazing to work with. He bent over backwards to make sure the trip could happen and that we were comfortable and happy.

The place is beyond what anyone would expect. Every ammenity you could want and more. We really felt silly that we brought so much with us, but sometimes you get disappointed. Not this time. Girls, don't worry about a blow dryer. I swear, there are plenty to go around! Don't worry about platters, bowls, cheese graters, even tupperware. They had it all 5 times over! We cooked some gourmet meals for 12, and never even felt crowded or like we couldn't cook it all at the same time.

You will love the privacy you'll feel in your own sleeping quarters and bathrooms. We had some shy bathroom users, and even they felt completely comfortable.

Wish we had more time to stay, because 3 nights wasn't enough to even use all the house had to offer. We did make it into the hot tub the last night. Amazing! We are soooo picky about cleanliness, so we were thinking about skipping it, but you could tell this has been well cleaned and maintained.

Everybody loved the wildlife you could view daily out the back windows. My Mom actually looked forward to that everyday. There are so many nooks to have privacy to just read, do work, or have some romantic time away from the rest of the house. This place ia amazing! You will not be disappointed. Short drive to Glenwood Springs, and Aspen. So much to do in a very short car ride. We got our deposit back in a few days, too. Can't wait to stay again. Thanks Peter!

The Perfect Place To Stay

  • 5 of 5

I rented this incredible home to surprise my Husband for his 27th birthday. 13 of us spent two nights in this home and had the absolute best weekend! The home owner, Peter, was incredible accommodating, helping us with every little detail. He was always available by email for questions and ready to lend a hand when he could. I cannot say it enough, the house is PERFECT. Every little detail in the home is made perfect for your vacation. There are loads of board games, TVs, and a beautiful kitchen to keep you busy. We had 7 of us cooking different things in the kitchen at once, and it never felt crowded. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be staying there again. It is the perfect place to stay!

Amazing stay for a family wedding weekend!

  • 5 of 5

This house is absolutely perfect for multiple families to stay and enjoy a vacation together and at the same time have more than plenty of room to have your own space. My wife and I stayed at this house with our 3 young children, my parents, aunt, brother, long-time family friends, and their daughter. All 3 master bedrooms are extremely large and offer privacy. The other bedrooms are of good size and can comfortably accomodate many people. Our group was extremely comfortable with the living arrangements.

There is a saying that people live in the kitchen. I think it was this house in which that was originally said. The kitchen is not only large but well laid out to allow you to entertain while preparing/cooking food. The 2 islands in the kitchen serve as eating or sitting areas for easily 8-10 people. The lower Iiving area just off the kitchen keeps the chefs engaged with those not involved with kitchen duties. The kitchen is well equipped with all sorts of cookware, cutlery, glassware, etc. The outdoor BBQ grill is well-suited for grilling for a large crowd. All proper grill tools are provided.

The upstairs loft is a great escape to read a book or work on a laptop or iPad but not be isolated from others. Down the hall, the living room above the garage played host to a nice evening of drinks and conversation after dinner. There is plenty of seating and a nice fireplace and plenty of windows for a create comforfortable atmosphere.

The downstairs play room is also large and with food ball, ping pong, and air hockey, there is gaming entertainment for those of all ages. The media are adjacent completes this ultimate man cave.

The owner of the house is very accommodating and communication is excellent before, during and after the stay.

I would not second guess staying at this property. If you like the photos, you will be pleasantly surprised to see the house even better in person than it appears online.
