As a Denver native, I grew up hiking, camping, skiing and getting to know and enjoy Colorado's beautiful mountain country. I'm a city girl at heart, but love quick trips to the mountains so the unit at Silver Creek is perfect. I earn my living in the arts and offer discounts to others in my and related professions (visual artists, writers and librarians).
Alicia Bailey purchased this apartment in 2011
With 24/7 desk and security staff, the unit is easy to maintain for an off-site owner. It is ideal for renting short-term to individuals, couples and small families.
The Inn at Silver Creek has a great set-up. It is a resort style facility with private ownership of the units. For those with kids, the Inn has a lot of great features - a large arcade, indoor outdoor hot tubs and pool that is open year-round, tennis courts, mini-golf court and volleyball are set up for summer use. In between Winter Park, with winter skiing and summer music festivals, and Grand Lake, the area offers unparallelled recreation activities, most at very reasonable prices.
We had a wonderful stay at your little place. Very comfortable. The kitchen is really well equipped! Much better than at a cabin we rent sometimes. We've enjoyed hiking in the national forest & also the little trail up the hill behind the condo place. We thought the place was just fine & the bed was comfortable. I've never slept in a Murphy bed before.
We had a lovely walk this morning while it was cool & cloudy. Thanks again for letting us stay at your place. We'll be back!
I stayed here this past weekend,
the place was great, it's quiet for couples big enuf for families private but cizy.
This unit was great spotless, great choice of linens and well kept & organized
also it's a pet friendly place
Was excellent for what i wanted : ie a clean comfortable, warm unit to relax in, after sking, with good facilities.
Owner was very helpful and honest and the price very fair.
Would use it again.
We didn't meet the owner but she was very good about answering questions ahead of our stay. We got a lot of information about restaurants and places to go from the people at the front desk, really nice people. We can't afford most resort towns and were really happy to find this place.
What a perfect place for a quick getaway. My husband and I had a wonderful time here, and our dogs too! The Murphy bed was really comfortable and we really enjoyed the hot tub and pool after a day of skiing. Grocery store across the highway made it super easy to grab snacks and other last minute things we forgot to bring. The private patio was awesome to have coffee on and watch the snow fall. We would definitely come back again!
The hotel is rather shabby, the hotel restaurant food nearly inedible, the indoor pool cold. The room was very dated, the stove had to be set at 150 to be off. We didn't know that and put the stove on "off" after cooking only to come back after a day of hiking to a very hot room. There is also a ceiling fixture in the middle of the room that has no switch. We think it was covered over when the wood panelling was installed. Needless to say the room was quite dim with the exception of a table lamp, floor lamp and kitchen lamp which are all task lighting. The murphy bed was so uncomfortable our backs ached every morning. The pillows were flat and horrible. My children found the pull-out futon to be so uncomfortable they preferred to sleep on the hard floor. One of the blankets for the bed had a few disgusting crusted over hard stains, unfortunately we found that out after we used it the first night. I don't think this room had been used in a while as the sheets did not seem fresh. The pictures of the room did not reflect the rooms actual appearance. I would not recommend this place. The property was not clean or well maintained.
Ideal accomodations for couple - comfortable room and bed at a very affordable price. Only downside would be limited soundproofing - you can hear people walking in room above, but overall this wasn't a major issue.
An easy drive from Denver, the Inn at Silver Creek is in a broad valley with 360 degree views surrounding mountainsides. The area is filled with family activities of all sorts, most are more reasonably priced than other areas of Colorado.
My favorite nearby attractions include Hot Sulfur Springs resort, hikes in Indian Peaks Wilderness and throughout Rocky Mountain National Park. Others enjoy downhill skiing at nearby Winter Park and Sol Vista, cross country skiing at Snowbird Ranch, 4 championship golf courses, world-class fly fishing, mountain biking, four wheel driving, numerous boating activities on one of 3 nearby lakes, horseback riding, summer music festivals in Winter Park.
