Great location and view

We stayed in Studio Unit 1010 in June 2012, which had just been renovated. In fact, we were late getting into our room because the men were still working on the afternoon we arrived, and the very nice housekeeping mgr. couldn’t get in to clean the room. It didn’t bother us to wait because we were the first people to use the frig., microwave, cabinets, etc. The view of the beach is outstanding from this room. We very much enjoyed the amenities of the hotel during our stay—the lobby, pool area, the umbrella and chairs at the beach each day, etc. It’s a beautiful place to be. Everyone was extremely nice, and the management company responded quickly to my emails; however, we had some communication problems once we arrived. As instructed, we called the housekeeping mgr. from the airport upon arrival to let her know we were on our way. However, once we arrived in the lobby of the hotel (about 45 mins. later), we could no longer get an answer by phone, and her mailbox was full (something I mentioned to her in an earlier conversation) so we couldn’t leave a message. After waiting in the lobby for about 20 minutes, we went up to the room and found her cleaning. She apologized profusely for the room not being ready and let us put our luggage in the large closet in the room while she and the workmen finished their tasks. Later that night we had problems getting on the Internet (which is provided free). I called the housekeeping mgr., and she told me she would call the owner and get back to me. We never heard from her again during our week’s stay. We were able to get on the Internet the next day—a kind person at the front desk told us what we needed to know. (Note: the night before the person at the front desk wouldn’t help us because she said we weren’t guests of the hotel—Unit 1010 is a privately owned room.) The contract stated the condo would be supplied with paper towels, TP, etc. We were not given paper towels; we received 2 rolls of TP and were told we should buy our own supplies for the rest of the week. Although the contract mentioned washcloths, none were provided. In spite of the small problems we had, we wouldn’t hesitate to return to this studio.
