We love the Northeast Georgia mountains. We vacationed in this area our whole life. When we retired, we chose to make these beautiful mountains our home. We built the cabins because we wanted to share our love of the North Georgia mountains. My dad trout fished for many years in the local waters of the Northeast Georgia mountains, we also camped and vacationed in this same area.

View of the Northeast Georgia mountains is spectacular in its many seasons. With the fall season approaching, the leaves are turning and the weather is changing. There are many activities, including fall festivals, great restaurants, and antique shops. There is always something going on! Please visit the Dahlonega Visitor's Center for additional details.

Our weekend stay at the cabin was just what the doctor ordered. It was quiet, comfortable and a complete joy. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Wonderful Get away

  • 5 of 5
Had a wonderful stay here this past weekend. Stayed in the mountain view cabin. Was perfect for us and our dog he loved the creek and trying to catch fish. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we go up to the mountains. Was also close to a couple great creek for additional trout fishing. Close to a couple places to grab food as well.

Couple on a Get-Away for Hiking and Views

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend so we could get out of Atlanta easily and do some hiking. It is a cozy place with a lot of hunting decor! While it does sleep 8, there is only one bathroom so I would imagine it would be difficult for all 8 people except for a group of low maintenance men. :) We really enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting on the porch swing. The TV is TINY so don't go expecting to watch sports or movies very easily in the evenings. The owners were very kind and generous and easy to work with. They even gave us a late check-out so we could enjoy brunch at Wolf Mountain winery and leave our dog in the cabin instead of the car. We enjoyed hiking Blood Mountain, eating a couple meals at Turner's Corner Cafe and getting some BBQ at the Mountainside Lodge. Great weekend overall!

Not quite what we expected.

  • 3 of 5
The cabin was very cute. The view was nice except for the barn and broken down truck and RV down below the house. Do not pick this cabin if hot tub is a selling point. The hot tub does take a LONG time to heat up as other reviews state. We got there at 830pm, by 1230am was just starting to get warm , so we did not get to use it and we called to make sure we did things correctly. It was waarm by the morning when we got up and were headed into town. Came back about 630pm and half the top on hot tub had been blown open and temp dropped. Called about 930 because it had only changed 3 degrees in 3hrs. We have stayed in other cabins with hot tubs in colder weather and this is not normal. We called just to say you need some one to look at it and the owner, MR ED said we shouldnt have gone to town and enjoyed it while we could. Also told us we should have strapped it down BUT there are no straps and nothing in the directions at the cabin tell you this.....we were offered to stay until 2 pm instead of 11 am checkout, to use the hot tub since we waited til 1 am that night to try and use it but was still not warm enough, but we were not able to do this.

Owner's Response: We take a lot of pride in accommodating each guest and regret that this guest was disappointed. When we received the complaint about the hot tub, we explained that due to the extreme weather to include 7" of snow two days previously we were not able to flush and sanitize the hot tub in accordance with our protocol. We had to refill the hot tub earlier that day.

The next morning the guest sent a text message stating that the hot tub was working great as it was now at 104 degrees and working fine. The next call we received from the guest at 6:30 pm notifying us that the hot tub was only 97 degrees. The owner spoke with the guest to try to determine what had happened. The guest admitted that they did not recover the hot tub prior to leaving that morning. The owner explained that when leaving a hot tub uncovered it was impossible to retain heat. The owner tried to accommodate this guest by allowing them to check out later in the day, however the guest explained that they had to get back to their family and was unable to stay.

A true get away!

  • 4 of 5
I am from the Atlanta metro area, and i was looking for a get away for my birthday in the mountains. As we headed over yes, it was dark and a bit confusing for us since we have never been here. However, when we found the cabin it was the perfect space and area i was looking for! In January; it is very cold to get in the hot tub so i didn't get to experience that but over all it was a great experience! We rode to Helen, and went hiking on small trials around the cabin. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for some relaxation. Great owners and wonderful property.

Lovely Cabin Getaway

  • 5 of 5
This was the perfect getaway cabin to enjoy a long, winter weekend. The hot tub was a hit along with the warm fireplace. The cabin is very well built, is clean & very cozy. The stream below the cabin can be heard from the porch & was very relaxing. We can't wait to return for another vacation.
