1920's cottage remodeled in 2011 to original style with all the modern amenities. Living room, 1 bdrm, subway tile bath with large walk in shower, fully equipped kitchen includes dishes, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, cook top. Shaded patio and hi def TV. The cottage is located on a former vineyard. In 1874 Isaac Van Horn arrived in Walla Walla, then the largest town in the Washington territory. Toussaint Chabot let Van Horn set up his tent near his vineyard at the corner of 4TH and Birch. Toussaint later donated the land and in 1875 the first Seventh-day Church was erected.
Dennis and Jolene Berry arrived in Walla Walla in 2004 after spending several years living and working in Italy. They choose to relocate in Walla Walla because of the beauty of the area, it's European flavor, and to be near one of their 5 children and her family.
Dennis Berry purchased this cottage in 2010
When we moved to the area we built a home in Dayton where our daughter and her family live. Jolene owns a women's boutique in Walla Walla. In our first winter we were forced to spend many night's in Walla walla due to heavy snow. We decided to look for a little house to use when we wanted to stay in the Walla Walla. We saw this little cottage for sale. It was in terrible disrepair. It looked like it needed some help. We bought it and have spent the last year remodeling, doing a lot of the work ourselves. Be sure to look at our before and after album .

Very well organized and equipped place, clean as well. Centrally located. Owner very responsive to questions. Thank you!
While your friends pay too much to stay at the Marcus Whitman or even one of the chain hotels, you'll be delighted you saved some $ and stayed at this super-clean, well-designed little bungalow sitting a five-minute walk away from the downtown tasting rooms. There's no lace or teddy bears (thank goodness)-- just clean, thoughtful design & renovation of this classic little standalone home.
Bring your own coffee & filters: they have a machine but no supplies. Nice little kitchen is set up with the tools you need to let you make your own breakfast from whatever you bring, saving you a few additional $.
It's a little hard to find (the access point from the street is non-obvious), so use the directions the owner sends you a few days before you arrive. Once you get there, it's a piece of cake to park the car & enjoy exploring downtown Walla Walla's many tasting rooms, cute shops, cafes and coffee shops on foot.
Needed a kitchenette (electric cooktop, microwave, refrigerator) and walk in shower. This was just the right thing for my mother who uses a walker. Plus only 1 step up to the front door. Clean & tidy.
Clean, centrally located. Much nicer place to stay than one of the chain motels. We would definitely stay here again!
This cottage was exactly as described, and we really liked it. The location is great in terms of being right there in downtown walla walla, so we could walk to everything there. the cottage is clean, very quiet, and pleasant.
Lovely and wonderfully appointed cottage. It is perfect for just two people, with all the basics that you need, right down to both red and white wine glasses. Although in the middle of town, it was very quiet.
And though we could walk to tasting rooms in town we spent most of our time in the vineyard wineries and touring the countryside. The next time we come we are bringing our bikes as this is bike-friendly countryside and oh so beautiful.
We would stay here again.
