Porto Vista is an upscale, gated & very private condo community, close to everything -- yet tucked away into a quiet corner of the city in a residential neighborhood. Additionally, our building is located on a quiet corner of the complex with no other condo on 3 sides. Our unit has been remodeled with new furniture, paint, flooring and new kitchen upgrades. All floors are tiled. Both bedrooms and living room have flat screen tvs. The master bedroom has a queen size bed; the guest bedroom has two twin beds. 4 person Max per association rules.

Located in desirable SW Cape Coral, Porto Vista is close to all the 'good stuff' such as shopping, restaurants, Sunsplash Water Park, golfing, Edison Ford Winter Home, Flea Markets, biking, Farmer's markets, & fresh fish markets, consignment and antique shops.

Cape Harbour is just a mile away and features unique and popular restaurants such as Rumrunners, Pignoli on The Harbour, and The Joint, shops, entertainment, walking, boat tours and rentals. We love to watch the yachts, manatees, and birds while dining outdoors.

Famous beaches such as Fort Myers Beach (15.5 mi), Sanibel/Captiva (24.5 mi) are a short drive. With direct gulf access, you can rent a boat or take a shuttle from Cape Harbour to visit the beaches and canals. Don’t miss a visit to Pine Island with its Bohemian, artsy area, archeological nature trails and Indian digs. There is a small, public beach 5 minutes from the condo with great sunset viewing. Wildlife/Nature enthusiasts would enjoy a visit to J. N. 'Ding' Darling National Wildlife Refuge at Sanibel Island, Naples Zoo, Manatee Park, or the Everglades. Disney World is about a 3 1/2 hr drive & Fort Lauderdale is 2 hours.

The Boston Red Sox, MN Twins & Miracle baseball teams & the Everglades hockey team hold sporting events in this area. Porto Vista is 3 blocks from a small shopping area with a Publix, UPS shipping, Bank, Medical Urgent Care Center, Walgreens, and more. Lee Memorial Hospital and Cape Coral Hospital are nearby as well as an abundance of Urgent care centers.

SW Florida and Charlotte County (Punta Gordo) airports are a short drive. Miramar Outlet, Tanger Outlet, and Edison Mall are just a few of the popular shopping malls offered in the area.

About Linda and Dave

We are from Illinois and love coming to our Florida home when possible. We are retired, but still remain active with farming so our visits are limited. Our condo was built in 2006 and has been very 'gently used'.

We enjoy the atmosphere of Porto Vista with its winding sidewalks, friendly neighbors, picnic/grilling areas, Mediterranean design, and immaculate tropical landscaping. 'Condo Living', but with a peaceful neighborhood feel. Being in a gated community is also an attractive feature for us.

What makes this condo unique

Porto Vista offers a generously heated pool, club house, fitness center with all the latest workout equipment, lounge/library with wireless internet and a kitchenette. Our condo is cozy and nicely furnished, well stocked with all that you will need for an enjoyable visit. We love that we can walk 1 mile to Cape Harbour, 2 blocks to Walgreens, Publix, shops, restaurants and walk-in-clinic.

Condo Heaven!

We were fortunate enough to stay for the entire month of December in Cape Coral, Florida at a beautifully appointed condominium in Porto Vista. The community is so friendly. We felt very secure in this gated community. The rooms are big. The kitchen has everything you need to make basic meals. The appliances are new. The washer and dryer in the unit are so convenient. Everything was CLEAN! It was great. This is not just a vacation rental property, but a second home to our hosts. It shows in the tastefully decorated and well cared for property. The clubhouse was very nicely appointed. It had a big library. The fitness center was well outfitted. The pool was heated and clean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. We had no complaints at all with the condo or the community. Cape Coral spoiled us. The weather was great. We were within walking distance of grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. We even got to see bald eagles and burrowing owls on our morning walks. It just couldn't have been any better. There were so many activities to choose from, it was difficult to decide what to do each day. Our hostess provided many helpful suggestions. Speaking of our hosts...you couldn't ask for anyone more gracious or concerned with our comfort and satisfaction. When we first arrived, our internet was not working. They scheduled Comcast to fix the problem in short order. Even though it was not due to any fault of our hosts, they upgraded our cable TV package. Not necessary, but very nice. At the end of the month, we decided to leave a couple of days early to beat some winter weather on the way home. I couldn't figure out how to lock the front door and had to call on a Sunday morning. I hated to bother them, but they were so gracious! They walked me through the whole process and stayed on the phone while I got it right.

Even though the condominium, community and Cape Coral were terrific, the real gems here were our hosts. We are so grateful to them for their graciousness, kindness, concern and willingness to share their lovely home.
