Nicely Appointed w/Local Art in 2 Bed/2 Bath Apt.

The weather in Waikoloa boasts sunny and breezy days! The views from E304 never cease to amaze. As you enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail from your (381 square feet ) large lanai, you will have great views of the bay and Hualalai Mountain. (another currently dormant volcano) Stay in this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, top floor ocean view unit that is protected by the winds. This is important as Waikoloa is known for its big winds. Winter sunsets are amazing from here.

This master planned luxury resort has two golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, JR. of which the Vistas is situated next to the Beach Golf Course. Across the street is Aneho'omalu Bay ('A-Bay') located between the Marriott and Hilton Waikoloan Hotels. Sign up for the Dolphin Encounter, Whale Watch Cruises, or stroll their gardens and take a tram or boat ride through the Hilton 'Village'!

This top floor unit has fabulous views of 'A Bay'! All the essentials of home are available to you. We have a well stocked pantry and essentials not found in your typical rental: bathroom toiletries, plenty of toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish washer tablets, olive oil, salt n pepper, etc.....

The master bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, flat screen t.v and ensuite master bathroom is newly renovated (pictures will be added to the website ) with double bowl sinks, a shower and tub. There are custom merabau wooden sliders to darken the bedroom room for sleeping.

The second bedroom consists of a queen bed, ceiling fan and plenty of drawers for clothes. There are sliders for privacy. The second (renovated) bathroom is just off the entryway hall and has a toilet, wash basin, and shower. There is a large washer and dryer, both of which are front loaders.(unlike many rentals which feature smaller ones that barely wash a single king sheet)

The kitchen has recently undergone upgrades with new appliances and granite counters. It has all the conveniences of home such as stocked condiments, plenty of laundry detergent, dish washer pellets, etc. No need to shop for these items. Saving you time and money.

Dining is for 6 persons with seating for 3 at the breakfast bar. Living room has large ceilings with a ceiling fan, large flat screen t.v. with cable, DVD player and sound system. Couches both have ottomans for putting your feet up. Decor is tropical and Hawaii-Aina, with many original pieces from local artists, including those from Peter Jefferson. For guests interested in joining our weekly Kohala Pleinair group on our Friday outings, please simply inquire as we also head up the group of artists. Some of our scheduling includes the homes and properties not readily available to the general public.

Our lanai has a dining table for your outdoor meals and wet bar as well .

Our complex pool has one of the largest pools- it's a 25 yard salt water lap pool. There are also 2 hot tubs. A good sized exercise room is also on the complex grounds with access possible even in the wee hours if you cannot sleep!

The Vistas has been voted most recently as the best value for your money here on the Kohala Coast. (Whereas the Hilton and Marriott Hotels charge either a daily parking fee or resort fee , or both) Some other apartment complexes are considering also imposing 'resort' fees to guests, while we are a gated community with no fees and free parking. You will feel welcomed and comfortable.

About Peter and Lillian Jefferson

My husband, Peter, and I have owned this unit since 1997, and it has been on the rental market for two full years as we have moved to the Big Island permanently after spending every Christmas and summer here with our two daughters since 1993. We moved from Hollis, NH and currently reside at Mauna Lani. Peter attended Carnegie Mellon for his degree in Architecture while Lillian attended St. Anselm College for Political Science. She spends her time working towards mastering beaded jewelry. Currently Peter spends his time at leading the Kohala Pleinair Artists. His art, both oil and watercolors, can be viewed at Barela Gallery at Mauna Lani. Our condo will have some of his artwork displayed along with some of the other local artists.

Location! Location! The Vistas is incredibly convenient and central to everything Waikoloa Resort and the Kohala Coast has to offer. The views from the apartment are incredible. When our family lived on the mainland, we looked forward to our time at the Vistas. It had everything our family needed for a perfect vacation! All the comforts of home as well as perfect weather, amazing beaches, and a great lanai from which to relax!

What makes this condo unique

The Vistas has the convenience of being within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, and hotels. It is solidly built and you will not hear your neighbors through the walls.(other properties cannot make that claim) It also boasts some of the biggest lanais and a large salt water lap pool. Our home has dedicated wifi as well as long distance telephone service with free calling to the mainland, Canada, and US Territories. This has proved useful to international guests.

Our apartment is perfect, as it is shaded in the morning, while sunsets can be viewed from the lanai.(in the winter months) The lanai gets gentile Kona breezes from the ocean, but is protected from the heavier trade winds that our coast is known for.

You will never want to stay at a commercially managed property again after enjoying this thoughtfully appointed, spacious and well maintained condo. The condo's location in the heart of Waikoloa Resort is within walking distance of the beach, dining, shopping and golf. Lillian was a gracious host, ensuring we had everything we needed. There were so many special touches that made it feel like home; I especially enjoyed the well-stocked tea box! If we make it back to the big island, I would certainly stay here again.

This is my 2nd stay in this condo. Liillian and Peter are exceptional hosts and take the time to ensure that you are comfortable and settled into their condo. Lillian was also very helpful with arranging last minute accomm for one of our group. The condo's pantry was well stocked and allthe other amenities are 1st class. Lillian also kept in touch to ensure that all was well with us and any needs we may have whilst staying in the condo. I highly recommend this condo to anyone considering staying on the Big Island, it's the best with an esy drive to anywhere on the island. I look forward to returning again myself. I chose this condo because I wanted to deal with the owner directly rather than with a management company. It was a good decision. Although we arrived late, Lillian personally met us and greeted us warmly as an old friend. She then showed us the condo and the grounds. In the condo, she left us some staples to get us through dinner and breakfast: gourmet pasta and sauce, a bottle of wine, and even chocolate covered nuts for dessert. A box of cereal and coffee in the freezer awaited us for breakfast. The condo was spacious, the furnishings were of high quality and extremely comfortable, and the artwork (some of which was painted by the owner Peter) was beautiful. What was also impressive was the fact that Lillian promptly refunded our deposit, even though she was out of the country! Lillian, Tim and I appreciated your personal touch and gracious hospitality. We certainly will return the next time we visit the Big Island.

Amazing Condo!!!!

I usually don't write reviews, but I found them extremely helpful when finding our condo for Hawaii. This condo is amazing. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the owner, Lillian, who showed us around the condo and the whole complex. It was a great tour. She even gave us a cute gift basket, which I thought was a really nice touch. The condo is beautiful!!! It's located on the 3rd floor. It has a little wrap around lanai with a patio table and chairs and some other comfortable chairs to hang out in. We loved looking at our gorgeous view of the bay too. The condo was well decorated and had a great tv/movie system. The owners also provided us with a huge book of their personal movies to choose from, which worked out perfectly for the kids (6 and up) especially. They also provided the beach towels, beach toys, snorkel sets, chairs, coolers, and a boogie board. It was so great to not have to worry about renting or buying those from the store when we got there. The condo was also conveniently located!! We could walk to the beach or it took about 10 min for our family to walk to the Queen's Market, which had great shopping and groceries. All in all, we'd definitely come back to stay here again!!! We loved it!!!

A lovely place to hang your hat while on vacation

The four of us felt very relaxed and comfortable in this condo. We made it like home and respected the condo like home. Lillian met us and showed us around the pool, bbq area, etc. We loved dining on the lanai as we ate most of our meals at the condo. We enjoyed the perks of being able to phone home to see if all is well as free long distance was provided. We loved the basket of goodies and coffee, cereal, etc to start our first morning as we arrived late and had no time to get groceries. Met friendly people at the pool and plenty of chairs to lounge. Thanks Lillian and Peter for your hospitality and we will come back and let friends back home know what a great location, comfortable accommodation, etc

This is a wonderful location as it almost never rains! Located about 25 minutes drive north of the airport, the island breezes keep you very comfortable. You are in walking distance of both the King's and Queens Shops which offer restaurants and Food Court as well as a upscale ABC Grocery Store. The world class Hapuna Beach, 69 Beach, and Mauna Kea are all but 15 minutes drive with 'A' Bay right across the street.
