About Rhonda Rodgers

Avid gardener and cook. Crazy about Trooper, the resident Tibetan Terrier. We live on property.

Rhonda Rodgers purchased this apartment in 1986

Why Rhonda Rodgers chose Duboce Triangle

Best weather and centrally located.

What makes this apartment unique

Quiet solitude but walking distance to two of the hottest areas in the city - 'the' Castro and 'the' Mission. On a quiet one block street but an easy walk to public trains/streetcar/buses. 10 minutes by public trans to Union Square, Embarcadero, Moscone, City Hall, and financial district. Nice outlook to garden. Designed with your comfort in mind. Leave your car at home and take public trans/UBER/Lyft (parking is a chore in this neighborhood).

We had a great time accentuated by our accommodations. Rhonda was amazing with her help educating us with transit routes. The home was clean and wonderfully appointed. We were able to spend some time in the sweet garden. Our only negative point is that we weren't able to stay longer.

Lots of places to eat and enjoy the neighborhood.

Thank you for your hospitality Rhonda, hope to see you again. The Girls from Edmonton

Owner's Response: Thank you, ladies for the great review. I'm glad you were comfortable and we welcome you back to the apartment anytime! Trooper is trying to be unobtrusive, but he just wants to be the center of attention. Take care, Rhonda

Lovely and convenient stay

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this charming vrbo for my brother's wedding.

Very well appointed and comfortable.

We were a little disconcerted that a 1 1/2 bath listing actually translated to one toilet (would have been a deal breaker had we known ahead of time) but we worked through it and after 5 days we all became quite conscientious.

This was probably a two bedroom unit at one time and they've done a great job of turning the front room into a cozy bedroom. There were plenty of beds and places to be. The beds were comfy, though I'm a pillow hog... As is most of the family, and we found ourselves stealing each other's pillows. There were plenty of decorative pillows that we made do with.

The linens were all top notch (maybe too much so... We were afraid we'd get all that white stuff dirty!) Calvin Klein, Restoration Hardware, etc.

The kitchen was big and very well equipped. We spent long hours over coffee each morning and the natural light coming through the windows was wonderful.

Our hosts were gracious but unobtrusive.

Trooper, the Tibetan spaniel, paid us a visit one morning. Adorable!

The absolute best part of this place was its location! So close to buses, muni, taxi, restaurants, activities. And yet on a quiet, little used street. We walked or took public transportation everywhere.

We would definitely consider staying here again for future visits to the Castro.

We obviously take pride in the finishes and linens we provide our guests and glad you appreciate the high thread count and fluffy towels. We welcome you back in the future! Thanks also for all the little gifts you gave us, and appreciate your kindness.

Perfect stay for a family

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Rhonda's apartment with our four daughters for six nights.

Everything was even better than on the listing pictures. The place is very comfortable, clean and decorated with great taste.

We loved the quiet street plus the closeness to public transportation. There's a view on Twin Peaks and the backyard from the TV-living room.

The bedding and bath towels are top quality. We really appreciated it.

The kitchen has all appliances you may need if you like cooking. If not, there are many places to eat out in the neighborhood. The apartment is a few minute walk from "Thorough Bread and Pastry" on Church street. Great place to get fresh bread or pastries for breakfast.

We rented a car for to go to Marin County and it was easier than we thought to find a spot to park in the street or around the block. Rhonda had given us a street parking permit for the week.

We wish we could have stayed longer.

We will definitely recommend Rhonda's place to friends and relatives.

Lovely place and great location

  • 5 of 5

Really nice apartment with good amenities and in a very pleasant side street. Three rooms ideal for couples or singles. In our group of 5 one person slept very comfortably in the small lounge. Close to trams and easy walk to Castro and Mission shopping areas. Some surprising noise from the garage door opening/closing at night and in the morning for the front bedroom occupants but once you get used to it shouldn't be a problem.
