After an exciting Real Estate career in Chicago, I decided to trade the ice and snow for better weather and a slower pace....
Little did I know that I would embark upon and exciting new lifestyle that included interesting people and a city that is full of history and opportunity. One can always find a parking spot, a great restaurant , excellent theaters and of course, the many beautiful beaches.
Jan Halderson purchased this townhome in 2007

What a perfect house . Décor beautiful. House so clean. Owner very helpful and kind.
This was not the property we thought we were renting, but it worked out very well. The home was very clean and well-stocked with essentials as well as being convenient to both downtown and the beach. One must be very careful entering and exiting their car though if parked in front of house.
Could not have been better.
We had family at the last minute needing accommodations for my daughter's wedding. The owner was wonderful in making this happen.
The property fully met all expectations as presented on the website...in fact, I think we were all somewhat surprised in that it likely exceeded the expectations we all had. The property is well located in downtown ILM...convenient to the Historic District and only minutes from the local beaches without being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. There is off street parking and a lovely backyard. Plenty of room to spread out and a well appointed kitchen.
We had some young kids in town as well as new in laws from Wales for the festivities and they enjoyed the USS NC Battleship and trolling the street activies dowtown on Saturday. Trolly Stop for Hot Dogs on Friday and Dockside for lunch on Saturday really made the weekend even that much more enjoyable.
I would, without hesitation, highly recommend this property to a friend or relative. It is perfect for a wedding weekend, a weekend getaway, or for a week at the beach during the summer.
We were able to find this gem last minute for Graduation in Wilmington. The owner was so helpful. The listing unit is actually better than what is shown in the pictures. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of charm!! We will be back!
I could not be any happier with my decision to stay here. I had everything at my disposal that I would possibly need. Very clean, very charming, everything was perfect to the very last detail. The garden outside is the cherry on top. It is absolutely beautiful. I loved the candle "chandelier thing" that hangs from a big tree in the garden. It was very hard to leave this place and I hope I make it back. If I'm ever in the Wilmington area- this is where I'm staying.
For those of you that may be stressing about finding the perfect place to celebrate a graduation from UNCW, look no more! My daughter graduated this past Mother’s Day weekend (May 2013). We had four generations attending; my 90 year old grandmother, my parents in their 70s and my immediate family of four. I thought of the beach, but two of her three ceremonies were first thing in the morning and I worried of crossing the bridge from the beach in time! This home is minutes from the RiverWalk and from UNCW, so it was perfect. This beautiful Charleston style home is complete with two townhomes. My parents and grandmother took one side and my immediate family took the other. The best part was the English style gardens in the backyard that quickly became our family living space. We could eat and chat together as my daughter decorated her cap for the “big walk” and we completed the space with a large congratulations banner strung between the homes.
The homes are beautifully decorated and the owner ensured we wanted for nothing. The small things mean so much! We arrived with our luggage and food for the weekend and everything else you can think of was provided. UNCW should really showcase this home for families looking for a wonderful place to create great graduation memories. My thanks to the owner and her friend down the alley that helped us in a pinch!! I stumbled on the perfect place and you should too!
