The Historic Hamlet Le Logge di Silvignano is a most significant example of medieval Castle in the Spoleto County (X to XV century), listed by the Italian Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage.

Ideally located for visiting art towns as Bevagna, Montefalco, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto and Gubbio.

Close to River Nera for Flyfishing in No Kill unpolluted area, Rome is only at 80' train.

For the owners, Diana and Alberto, it is more than their home a love affair. They personally cared for the restoration of the buildings preserving its original characteristics and atmosphere. Antique and crafted furniture, linen sheets and curtains from Montefalco looms, art ceramics from Deruta, family paintings, are blended.

The Hamlet is consisting of a few large Suite, 2 Villa, the owner’s Home and a wide Garden with Pool overlooking the Valley and the sunset. Pool towels provided.

The Hamlet can be rented in full, and can host up to 20 people.

The House of Ulysses is a Lovely 130 m² comfortable Villa with independent entrance and wide panoramic terrace overlooking the valley and the sunset. Accurately furnished and decorated. 2 bedrooms, one with a Large double bed, the second with twin beds, luxury living room with 'cotto' fireplace, a panoramic Loggia with dining room. Lovely and fully equipped kitchen with view. 2 bathrooms, one with shower, one with bathtub/shower. Pool Towels provided. Can host 4 people. A welcome breakfast basket is provided on arrival. The private Wine cellar of the Villa can be made available with a selection of D.O.C. Italian wines, upon request. Ask Diana and Alberto the link for additional pictures and details.
About Diana & Alberto

I, Alberto, was born in Milano, Diana was born in Napoli, a good blend of italian flavours, North and South together. The both of us were Managers in Multinational Companies in Operations and Purchasing myself , and Commercial and Marketing Diana, before starting this new life in hospitality. I love to talk about economics and I am passionate of Sudoku. I am the gardener and the House 'factotum'.

Diana who is graduate in Italian Letterature, is a fantastic chef and an heavy reader. Our Houses are full of book in italian, english and different languages.

We love people and good companies, we love good food and good wine. Both of us are Sommelier.

We live in the Property and are glad to welcome Guest and help them in touring the region

    Long Term Rental Welcome

    - Prices include:
    One week accommodation for the number of persons indicated
    A rich welcome basket for your breakfast;
    Electricity, water and gas for the kitchen and bathroom needs;
    Access to the equipped swimming pool (in season), for the people hosted ;
    Bedlinen, bath and pool towel, to be replaced every end of the week;
    Cleaning of the unit before arrival.

    Prices do not include:
    Heating ( in the season)
    Final cleaning, mandatory Euro 60,00.
    Additional bed linen and bath and pool towel change
    Daily cleaning of the unit, upon reservation with 24 hours advance notice
  • General Conditions

    1- Required to secure the booking:
    a.Your Visa or Mastercard details and a non refundable deposit corresponding to 30% of the reservation price

    2- Cancellation of Reservation Change policy:
    2.1- In the event you ask for cancellation or change of your reserved period we will do our utmost for accommodating you and try to resell the cancelled period. In such case we will be glad to refund what you have paid deducted the costs incurred.
    Otherwise, a penalty of 50% of the reservation price will be debited in case of Cancellation or Change of the reservation within 60 days (90 days for July and August) before the arrival date.
    100% will be charged beyond that date.

    2.2- No refund will be possible in case of modification of the length of stay or advanced departure.

    3- A refundable security cash deposit of Euro 300,00 will be required upon arrival.
  • 4- Check-in is due between 5,00 pm and 7,00 pm of the Saturday of arrival. Different arrival day and check-in time will be agreed in advance when possible.
    5- Check-out is due from 8,00 to 9,30 am of the departure day
    6- Smoking is not permitted, but in the open common spaces
    7- Pets are not admitted
    8- Children are welcome. Parents will make sure they do not disturb the other guests.

We stayed four nights in the Ulysses House with another couple - this was our first vacation in Italy and first time in Umbria. Alberto and Diana were warm, gracious hosts that take a genuine interest in their guests. They gave recommendations on restaurants in the area, which towns to visit, and even provided a welcome basket and a refrigerator stocked with essentials for the morning. They could not have done anything else to make us feel more welcome - even asked to let them know when we were leaving so they could say good-bye.

The Ulysses House is an exceptional three level villa which appears to be partially built into the side of a hill with a kitchen, comfortable sitting room and eating area on the second floor, clean and spacious bedrooms/bathrooms on the first and lower levels. The terrace has an absolutely stunning view overlooking the valley and surrounding hills - a postcard picture for sure. We took pictures of the sun setting over the hills. Wi-fy is available outside their office on the patio - including under their fig tree.

One note - Silvignano is very small. When you arrive in town you are actually there at Le Logge. We called them when we arrived near the bus stop not knowing where they were located and they walked down to greet us at our car. What wonderful hosts! Would return in a heartbeat.

Hi,
My husband and I stayed at t Le Logge de Silvignano September 3 to 11, 2011. We had spent time in Amalfi and Puglia as well. But our time in Umbria was the highlight of our trip. Dianna and Alberto were wonderful hosts and were a wealth of information steering us to places we wanted to visit and answered all our questions sometimes making recommendations that were
so appreciative. They greeted us with a tasty home baked cake which delighted my husband immensely. Our Unit the Ulysses House was so charming in every way down to our own patio overlooking the swimming pool. The location made it easy to take day trips out to various places and be able to return and enjoy our evenings. This is so much more relaxing than being in a hotel. The unit was exceptionally clean when we arrived. We could not have imagined a more perfect place and look forward to returning only this time we will stay longer.

Home Away from Home

We travelled to Umbria for a wedding with our 3 young boys and stayed at Le Logge di Silvignano for 3 nights. Diana and Alberto were amazing hosts and their property is absolutely beautiful. Our boys loved the pool and the spacious grounds and were made to feel at home. Diana's apple cake was also a big hit. We were very sad to leave and would visit Umbria again just to stay with Diana and Alberto.

Would we go there again? You Bet!

We've traveled a lot in Umbria and Tuscany over the years, and Logge di Silvignano is one of the nicest places we've stayed at. Diana and Roberto really are as helpful and friendly as other reviews tell you without ever being intrusive, just some genuinely nice folks. Our apartment was spotless, super clean and well kept. We traveled with our 8 year old son and Diana's proposals for where to go with an "energizer bunny" were spot on. There are good restaurants a few of kilometers down the hill, and within half an hour of driving you'll be in fantastic places like Assisi, Gubbio or Montefalco. You'll find - in our humble opinion - one of the most beautiful places in Italy, the Piane Grande, a small hour from Silvignano. Our trips there, with stops in Norcia and Castellucio, to "climb" small mountains in spectacular alpine scenery were highlights on our trip.

Beautiful and Tranquil Location

Diana and Alberto were the most charming and knowledgeable hosts and this was a wonderful location from which to tour the area. They helped with advice on where to go, best routes to take and places to eat. Our accommodation was exactly as shown on the website and we were not disappointed. We would return in a heartbeat.
