Stay down the street from Hotel St. Cecilia, where SXSW's best acts stay and play! This gorgeous home mixes historical architecture, beautifully restored and updated. It features chic and comfortable decor, a mix of antiques and modern with beautiful hardwood floors throughout. The home includes two master suites. The first features a king bed, large windows, french doors and an adjacent large private bath. The second features 2 twin beds, 16 foot ceilings, a spa bathroom with a pedestal tub and private access to the deck, which has views of downtown. The home also features a fully stocked kitchen, wireless internet, flat screen TV, cable and all linens.

The galley kitchen has tools for all of your cooking needs. The adjacent dining area is large and never feels crowded-, making it great for dinner parties. The enclosed front yard is perfect for people-watching and the private backyard and deck is a wonderful place to relax in the evenings and watch the lights of downtown.

Located in Austin's best urban neighborhood, Travis Heights. Walk 3 blocks to SoCo, for fabulous shopping, restaurants and nightlife as well as Lady Bird Lake for all outdoor activities. Downtown Austin is only five minutes away, where nightlife, restaurants, festivals and cultural activities await!

Cozy and convenient

We had a great time in Austin and this house was perfect for us. My husband and I met his parents for the weekend and the two master suites gave everyone privacy and space but we also enjoyed all the room to hang out together. The owners left us with a sampling of local beers and great suggestions for places to eat nearby. You can walk down the street to S. Congress and there are a million restaurants to choose from. We did have a car though, which was essential in the rain. The house was clean and neat and and the description was very accurate.

Our stay was amazing, the house was beautiful and our hosts gracious. The house is located very close to South Congress and walkable distance to downtown Austin - in fact you can see the downtown lights from across the lake while sitting on the lovely back patio. The neighbourhood is gorgeous, and as soon as we stepped into the house it felt like home. The beds are so outrageously comfortable, it was hard to leave in the morning. All in all, an amazing stay - we would be back in a heartbeat!
