About Tim and Suzanne Burke

We both grew up in Halifax and attended university just around the corner from where The Heritage is located, so the area holds many great memories for us. We currently still live in Halifax, with our 4 children, about 15 minutes outside of the city's downtown core.

Why Tim and Suzanne Burke chose Halifax

We quickly fell in love with this property because of its beautiful Victorian features and perfect location. Downtown Halifax has so much to see and do, any time of the year and we're happy to be able to have a chance to share that to visitors to our wonderful city!

What makes this house unique

As soon as we walked into this house, we were hooked. The high ceilings, original moldings, and simply the overall feel of the house made buying it an easy decision. We're very proud to own a 'Heritage' designated home in the wonderful city of Halifax, so close to all the city has to offer.

A Lovely Home

This heritage home looks just like the photos. Lots of character and nicely decorated. The owners had even put up Christmas decorations for us. The location is awesome with respect to restaurants, a gourmet market and shopping. Reasonable walking distance to the waterfront, even for kids. Upon arrival, it was very clean with everything we needed and the written information provided in advance was clear and helpful. This property was well suited to our family of four. The kitchen/dining area was well equipped and allowed us to have extended family visit for meals. The owners were very responsive to our questions and a problem with the WiFi was quickly resolved. There is a construction project across the street but noise and dust was not a problem as we had the windows shut in the winter.

I have to tell you, we have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Everything about The Heritage was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was stocked appropriately and honestly, it really helped to make our visit to Halifax wonderful. The only suggestion I can offer is that it would be useful to have some sort of shower rack.

Thank you so much for renting your place to us, I can't express enough how much we enjoyed it, how much it felt like home, and how much we will miss it. Also, you and Heather and Lee have all really been wonderful and helpful, for this I am so grateful.

We will definitely be recommending your home to others!
