2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom In Historic Ramsay

This much-loved century home is in the heart of Ramsay situated on a tree-lined street and only minutes from some of Calgary's most popular destinations. Walking distance to the Calgary Zoo, a short bike ride to downtown along the River Pathway, 10 minutes to LRT and the bus stop is just around the corner. Also, you couldn't get much closer to the Stampede Grounds or if you are wanting to catch a game at the Saddledome. This house is also located within the Car2Go network area (and you can take the Car2Go to the airport!).

Back deck with charcoal BBQ and table for four, and front porch for watching the people stroll by. Street parking is available for up to two cars. Laundry facilities on premises. Up to two bikes can be stored inside with other sporting equipment.

This house sleeps four comfortably.

Linens and kitchen supplies included. Cleaning provided in between guests and additional cleaning services can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.

The house itself has had some renovations done over the past few years and has been decorated in bright cheerful colours making this a comfortable place to hang your hat while visiting the Gateway to the West.

Ramsay - A mixed community featuring local artists and musicians as well as some of Calgary's more expensive residences atop the ridge overlooking the city.

About Gena

I am the CEO of start-up software company - Dexterity Ventures Inc. and a charitable giving platform called Place2Give.com. I grew up in Calgary, moved away for college and professional development for several years, before returning in 2002. I am actively involved in Calgary's social enterprise and volunteer communities and have dedicated my career to social change and community building.

When I am not traveling for work, I enjoy taking time off for global adventures and road trips. Because I have had such positive experiences with other VRBO rentals, I thought I would offer my place up this year as I will be gone throughout the fall and winter.

Gena purchased this bungalow in 2005

Why Gena chose Calgary

I bought this property for the lifestyle it has afforded me. Great restaurants, good music venues, close to downtown and because I ride my bike as a primary form of transportation in the summer, this location is ideal. Oh - and my favorite coffee shop, Caffe Rosso, is just four blocks away! If you are looking for a good latte and friendly service this is the place to go.

What makes this bungalow unique

This is a World War I home. Original hardwood floors and plaster walls give it that unique 'old-school' feel, but it is the arts and crafts style that is unique. From the arched ceiling in the living room, to the over-stuffed chair by the window this is a cozy little corner of downtown Calgary.

The basement has a second living-room with comfy sofa and flat screen TV for those winter nights that you just want to curl up.

Or perhaps you want to host an apres-ski the dining room boasts a table that seats eight.

I love this house! It has a great vibe, it's cozy and clean! I love the privacy, but still in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood. There are lot's of great cafes, shops, pubs and parks all within walking distance. As a business professional person with meetings that took place all over the city it was super easy to access downtown and the main thoroughfares! If you are looking for the ideal location in Calgary either as a single person or a family this house is a great pick! Looking forward to staying here again on another visit to Calgary!

EXCELLENT RENTAL, CLOSE TO CITY CENTER!

We stayed at the house temporarily in our move to Calgary. What we liked most about the house was that it was in a convenient central location, the kitchen was so well stocked that we hardly had to buy anything, the home was comfortably furnished, clean and we enjoyed the neighborhood and being able to walk to 9th Avenue for dinner; lots of great restaurants. Gena was so helpful to answer questions that we had, being new to Calgary. I think you would enjoy your stay at this rental!!!

Great location! Walk to neighborhood shops, restaurants, and attractions. Quick drive to downtown (or under 30 minute walk) and quick drive to airport. Excellent alternative to a hotel! Comfortable and cozy home with all the amenities, including a parking pass and a kitchen stocked with the basics to prepare your own meals. Owner very accommodating and overall great value.

Comfy cottage close to all Calgary has to offer

Great Place to Stay with Room to Spare

We stayed in this wonderful place for a week while visiting Calgary. It was a great location very central to everything minutes to downtown, shopping and the Zoo/Science Centre. The house itself was perfect with all the amenities and more. As we are a young family it was excellent that there was access to a full washer and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. With a hotel room we would have been looking at each other constantly but here, there was plenty of space for us to spread out. The owner was great to deal with and the transaction was a breeze. We would recommend this place highly for anyone.
