FARM MASSERIA

We had a wonderful week in Trulli Rossini. The hospitality provided by Tommaso and his family was really great. Tommaso made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He speaks excellent English. He also provided all the information needed on the local area, shops, restaurants, events etc. He even made time to take us to restaurants and on a visit to the family Massaria. We really enjoyed meeting his family and seeing how the farm was run, the animals and how they make their fantastic cheeses.
The fridge on arrival was full with everything you could need and with other essentials also provided in the cupboards. Many of the items were from the Massaria including the homemade cheeses.
Trulli Rossini was spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. The thick walls of the Trulli kept the apartment cool even in hot weather. It was nice to know that we had air conditioning if needed. We were able to relax when necessary and Becky particularly enjoyed the pool table.
The location of the Trulli means a car is needed but it is ideally place for exploring the many sights in the area. Martina Franca is only a few minutes drive away with all the needed facilities. Tommaso recommended some excellent restaurants and we loved walking around the old town. Both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts are within easy reach. On the Adriatic coast Polignano a Mare is worth a visit as are the seafood restaurants in Savelletri and the beaches near Torre Canne. Matera is an easy drive away with the Sassa a must see. There is so much to see in this area with Alberobello, Ostuni and Locortondo all nearby.
All in all our Trulli experience was wonderful and we will not hesitate in returning. We would like to thank Tommaso and his family for making us so welcome.

We had a great holiday in Puglia while staying in Trulli Rossini.
First of all the hospitality is amazing: everything in the house was perfectly in order, clean and we found a well filled fridge with fresh fruits, cheese, drinks and food. Tomasso gave us loads of tips on where to go and where to eat, what to see and was always available to provide extra help when needed.
The house is spacious and well equipped. There is a large kitchen, TV, internet, washing machine, airco in all the rooms (allthough we didn't need them as the house stays quit cool by itself).
Martina Franca is a nice city and lies centrally, so it's easy to explore other places in Puglia. Note that you do need your own transport!

Thank you for all you have done to make our stay memorable. Rossini is such a beautiful house and it has all we could possibly want for our stay. Thank you for all the "goodies" you had bought for us. Several times we had dinner at the house and with the eggs, tomatoes, ham, ricotta, peccorini, pears, apples, oranges, biscuits etc we did not do much shopping, hardly any at all. This was much appreciated. It was great to meet you and your parents and to visit the masseria and see how a modern farm works. We toured the area quite extensively including Matera, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotundo, and had some lovely walks. The flowers were fantastic, especially on the way to Cisternino. This is a great area to visit with so many interesting places. We could have stayed longer and see more interesting cities such as Lecce but we preferred to have more time enjoying the country side and the towns. Our return journey was uneventful, no delays at the airport. I am glad we allowed enough time to travel to Bari's airport because it was market day at Martina Franca and traffic was very slow.
I hope all is well with you and your family. Please conveys to your parents our thanks for their kindness and our warmest wishes. It would be lovely to visit again. We are seasoned travellers, yet Rossini was much nicer than many other houses and made better by the kindness extended to us.
