Absolutely loved Aruba
We rented both Condos listed here at the Divi Resort. We had two families. The family of four stayed in the Studio condo, and the family of five stayed in the one bedroom condo (rented a rollaway bed for $25/week). We had plenty of room for everyone. We loved having two kitchens and made great use of them! We hit the grocery the first day and got breakfast and lunch items. We ate a couple dinners in too. The resort has very accessable grills that we used to cook out one night. But we were right down the street from a huge array of restaurants, so we went for most dinners. Our balaconies overlooked the pool and had a great view of the beach and the beautiful sunset every night. The Divi Phoenix sits at the end of the high rise resort area. There is a boardwalk that runs along the beach past all the other resorts, restaurants, shops, ice cream, donuts, etc. We really enjoyed walking down and seeing all the other places, but we liked the Divi best because the beaches were not crowded. Being at the end of the boardwalk, we felt like we were in a much more private resort. Our rooms were very clean! The housekeeping does not make the beds and clean daily. They come mid-week on Wednesday to clean and change sheets out. But they do come daily with clean towels. It was kind of nice not having to work around the cleaning crew every day. The kitchen in both units have a full refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop and micro-bake oven (mircowave). But not a full size oven. Not a problem for us since we didn't eat many dinners in and the microwave handled all we needed. We ate and drank at the swim up bar and pool restaurant frequently. It was good food and not too overpriced. The Divi had a cabana set up on the beach for water sports and the most helpful conceirge. We took the full day jeep tour and highly recommend it! The sun is hot in Aruba, but there are plently of huts on the beach for shade. You do have to get out there early to reserve one, but then you have it for the whole day. The pool was extremely clean. Our 4 teenagers and 1 pre-teen were in the pools half the vacation! We bought floats/ balls at the gift shop and they had so much fun playing in the water. The owner Tony was great to work with. He gave us lots of helpful tips and told us where to go for groceries. We really did not want to leave. We all agreed we would go back in a minute. Aruba is a safe, clean, friendly, modern island with clean drinking water. One Happy Island!
