This modern apartment on Capitol Hill is centrally located overlooking Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains. Completely remodeled with top of the line Bosch and Miele appliances and beautifully detailed finishes throughout. Four skylights bathe the interior with warmth and light. You will enjoy being minutes from major freeways and seconds from public transportation.
Originally from Italy, I have lived in Seattle for 50 years always in the Madison park and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Currently I live about ten blocks from this property so I know the neighborhood very well.
Gina Medina purchased this apartment in 2012
I purchased this property with the intention of someday retiring in it. In the mean time, I am happy to share it with Seattle visitors who appreciate a beautifully maintained quality home.
Along with the fantastic location are the views from the living room, and deck. The private yard has the mood of a cottage garden with local flowers and plants. The kitchen with its high end appliances satisfies the gourmet cook. The skylights add brightness and a welcoming feeling.
My Husband and I had a wonderful week in the apartment over Christmas. The landlady lives nearby and is very helpful and attentive. The lacation is convenient, parking is adjacent to the front door, the internet and TV worked well, and the apartment is beautiful-light and bgright-a challange in Seattle in the Winter!Very well mantained and clean, beautiful hardwood floors and confertable furniture, nic e distant view of snowcapped mountains and Lake Washington. I recommend it and would definetely stay again, if it's available on our next trip to Seattle
Gina's apartment is a wonderful place to set down in Seattle. Plenty of light with beautiful art gracing the walls, this comfortable apartment has everything you need. There is a coveted parking spot, however the apartment is perfectly located near just about everything and right on the bus line so a car is not needed. The Arboretum is just a short walk down the hill as are plenty of restaurants/coffee shops. I stayed at quite a few VRBOs in the Seattle area and this one is one of the very best.
My wife and I spent an enjoyable October in Seattle at this wonderful apartment. The apartment has a completely outfitted kitchen and we were able to prepare dinner for 6 there with ease. All the appliances are top-of-the line and are simple to use. The furniture is well placed and comfortable. The skylights allow a surprising amount of light into the interior rooms. Given Seattle's propensity for cloudy weather, this is welcome. There is a porch with table and chairs, and a good Weber gas grill. A small storage room downstairs is useful for suitcases.
We had a rental car and as we are accustomed to driving ourselves everywhere and it was great having a parking space at the house. However, I can see that this location is also very convenient for using the Seattle mass transit system. For better, or worse, we are reluctant give up driving. (Warning to others, Seattle really patrols their parking meters with zeal and one oversized ticket was enough for us. ) We then used the city parking lots. Parking downtown is very expensive but perhaps for that reason it is not hard to find an empty space. There are several good supermarkets within blocks of the apartment. I cannot comment of the local restaurants as we usually drove several miles to specific spots.
We had time to see many of the usual tourist attractions, managing to see the Flight Museum, Boeing factory, Space Needle, EMP museum, Asian Museum, Bainbridge, the original and first Starbucks shop, Pike's Market etc. There are still plenty more to see as Seattle has an huge number of tourism sites. I don't advise wearing other than Seattle Seahawks logo sportswear and hats in this sports crazed city.
Gina, the owner, was always available and gave expert advice on things to do in Seattle . We found everything to be exactly as described. The unit is beautifully decorated, lovingly maintained, and filled with art work. When we return, we hope this apartment is available as it is our first choice. We have stayed at hotels in Seattle, and for us this is a better choice.
Gina was a gracious host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her apartment for the month of September. From the art on the walls to the English garden, it has extra amenities that made our stay very pleasant. Located in the capitol hill district there are many restaurants within a short drive. We reserved it for the same time next year. That really summarizes our satisfaction.
This apartment feels so much larger than its actual size. it is fun a bright and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. it was very clean and the charming owner immediately responded to one request we had. We were there when the weather was not such that we could use the back deck but it would be lovely for morning coffee or afternoon cocktail on a warm day. There are good restaurants within a short walk and others just a few minutes drive. From its location it is also easy to zip over to Montlake and the university or downtown. There is also a very nice 24 hour gym a few minute drive. we were very comfortable and happy here and would gladly return. I highly recommend it.
My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for 10 days. The apartment was excellent for the two of us. It is very large and has an open layout, with much space. It was very convenient to have a full kitchen and laundry appliances. The pictures do not even do justice of how beautiful the place is. There are sky lights and big windows in the back that provide much light into the apartment. Having a drive way was very helpful as well, as there is slim to no parking anywhere! The streets were a bit noisy at night, but it didn't really bother us.
The location was excellent. We were no more than 15 minutes away from everything. It was about a 5 minute drive to the UW and 15 minutes to the Woodland Park Zoo. It was very easy to manage our way through the city.
I wish the bathroom had more counter space, it made it a little difficult to get ready, but it was doable. We were also surprised to see that basic amenities such as hand soap and toilet paper were not provided; we were given one roll, and had to buy the rest. One other item I would like to see fixed is the water pressure in the shower; it was very light.
We also had a man come to our door saying he was locked out of his home and asking for money. I think some people in the area know this is a tourist/vacation home that gets rented out, so be careful. Do not open the door for strangers, and do not give them money.
Overall, the apartment was great, and I would highly recommend it to others. It was much more convenient than a hotel, even for the short stay that we had. The landlord, Gina, was excellent. She did not hesitate to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be renting this place again on our next trip to Seattle.
My Husband and I stayed here for two months while I was studying for the bar exam. This apartment was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Gina was absolutely wonderful! She was very accommodating to our needs and requests during our stay. It was a wonderful place to spend two long months studying. The furniture was comfortable and the apartment was very bright which was wonderful during the long rainy winter months. The apartment had everything you could need and more! It felt like home! We would defiantly stay here again!
Centrally located near Universities, Hospitals, Downtown Seattle, and the University District this Capitol Hill location is close to restaurants, shopping, museums, parks and much more.
