Owners' Scott Currie and Eva Inglizian reside full-time in Santa Margarita, Central Coast California. The couple from Los Angeles designed the ranch, combining their expertise: Architecture and Acupuncture.
Architect Scott Currie, graduate of Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), designed the ranch with a respect for the environment in mind. Scott's work can be described as having a wabi-sabi aesthetic: natural, rustic, fresh and elegant. Scott creates refined indoor-outdoor living spaces with modern amenities without compromising the integrity of the history and spiritual character of the land. Landscaping consists of native drought resistant cacti and plants. A gray water system is also integrated to minimize resource consumption.
Eva Inglizian L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Eva specializes in facial rejuvenation acupuncture. Her work with Sagrada Wellness as Founder, and acupuncturist has been featured in several international publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Healing Lifestyles and Spas Magazine, Elle, Fit Yoga, and Pilates Style Magazine.

Scott and Eva live with their children on the ranch.

There are few places within a three hour drive from either San Francisco or Los Angeles where one can find the peace and tranquility of 'old California'. Surrounded by 3rd and 4th generation owned ranches and vineyards. Our ranch is five minutes from historical Santa Margarita and its restaurants and antique shops, as well as over 200 wineries within minutes in the Paso Robles wine appellation.
We are surrounded by all that California offers; open land, great wine, ancient oaks, mountains, fantastic restaurants and pristine beaches. All without the crowds!
This spot is absolutely perfect for a gathering of six people. There is plenty of space to enjoy, both inside and out. The kitchen is delightful. The indoor and outdoor seating options allowed for tasty indoor dinners, and sunny outdoor breakfasts. Thanks so much!
Beautiful stay! The property is a great escape into nature. Situated amongst oak-covered hills, we enjoyed hiking, starry nights, and watching the wildlife and birds. The house is well-designed, sustainably sourced, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen provides high-quality cookware, utensils, and range. Cooking a large meal here is a real pleasure. This is a great location for just relaxing for the day, hiking the property and soaking in the hot tub, but it's also well-located for SLO, the coast, wineries, and San Simeon. Scott and his family were wonderful hosts, and provided thoughtful suggestions for things to do in the area. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.
Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday weekend!!! We were looking for peace and relaxation, away from the daily stress of life, but this really blew us away. From the beautiful views and the deer, rabbits, quail, and turkeys to the homey kitchen and serene rooms - we will remember all of the charms for years to come. We will certainly be returning!
PS We love, love, LOVE your pool!
PPS The frogs are cool too!!
We just spent a long weekend staying at this beautiful refurbished ranch. You will feel like you are a million miles away from the city. Lots of nature, star studded nights and privacy. We were there for Cal Poly graduation. We had people from 87 years old to 23 and everyone had a wonderful time. There is a main building that consists of a kitchen, dining room and sitting room. This is where everyone congregated for all the meals. We had fun cooking together and enjoying each other’s company. The bath house has been uniquely built. Hot tub, steam room along with showers, toilets etc. You need to be prepared that only one of the units (elegant caboose) has a bathroom. There are numerous seating areas that you move to find the coolness of the shade and each one is uniquely furnished. The pool was fun for everyone. Scott (owner) was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Everyone will have fond memories of visiting this gorgeous ranch.
Just got back from a weekend stay at Sagrada and LOVED it! This cool off-the-beaten-path guest house (and yoga retreat center) is family-run. Located just outside the cute town of Santa Margarita it is a quick drive from the wine mecca, Highway 46. The ranch's setting feels remote, perfect for nature lovers, couples or girlfriends who want to unplug and unwind but still be close to all the Central Coast amenities. There are three cute cottages and a pimped out caboose for rent. The style is a successful hybrid of John Wayne and the Dali Lama, a marriage of laid back western and Zen sanctuary. A completely unique vibe.
We spent our first morning procuring treats from Avila Valley Farm to picnic on the beach. Four words: fresh pressed apple juice! Holy deliciousness. Then back to the ranch for an outdoor shower and swing in the hammock. I credit the huge outdoor hammock for breaking my husband's smart phone dependency, at least for the weekend. Insert more wine tasting. We finished the perfect day marveling at how many stars there are. A solo morning trail run provided incredible views of the hills without another soul around, a rejuvenating end to our little get away. Do your body and spirit a favor, check in at Sagrada!
p.s. hurry before Sunset Magazine gets wind of this place it will be impossible to get a reservation!
