This loft was perfect for when my sister and I visited Austin for the first time. When we arrived at the loft, Nan was so friendly and helpful. She gave us ideas of where we could go eat, which were tons of places within walking distance!
The loft, though not huge, is perfect size for two people. It's spacious, clean, and feels brand new. There is a really cute courtyard as well with a huge table you could sit at and enjoy your morning coffee. South Congress Street (about 10 seconds from the loft) is full of fun things to do. There are shops, restaurants, and food carts everywhere. About a mile away you can walk down to S. Congress Bridge to watch the bats fly out at sunset. You are also close to downtown, which we visited many times and even went kayaking! One easy way to get to downtown from the loft, other than walking (it's a couple miles from the loft), is to buy a 7-day bus pass. It's only $9 and gives you unlimited rides on the bus during that time. We found the buses to be very clean and almost always on time. There are bus stops all along S. Congress and one very close to the loft.
Overall, I would give this loft a 10/10 for the wonderful space it provided, the hospitality provided by Nan, and its proximity to all the food, shops, and adventurous activities!
