I go to the Bay Area on business several times a year and have been staying at apartments regularly. This apartment ranks as the top choice so far. Great location as others have noted - very close to the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park. It's an easy walk to the N muni train which makes getting around easy.

Kitchen was very good and the Haight Street Market just around the corner was wonderful place for grocery shopping.

Apartment is very clean and airy - high ceilings really add to the charm of the place. I hesitate to rank it so highly only because it's already difficult to book. ;^) But ... highly recommended.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

This apartment is an outstanding property to base yourself for a San Francisco visit in style. Every detail has been thought of and catered for. The owners are exceptionally nice and helpful people. The apartment is wonderful in every detail, sunny , bright , spacious , private , superbly located and supremely comfortable. I can't imagine being anymore comfortable in a suite at the Ritz Carlton.

Great vacation

Very special place. We were able to visit our son and his friends, have a place for entertaining and a garage space to keep our rental car so we could leave the city and go hiking. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The owners were helpful but not intrusive. Lots of great places to eat and close to catching the bus.
My one recommendation would be a binder that described info about the apartment and the area. The take out menus were a great idea as was the computer access.
Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the beautiful backyard.

All around wonderful experience

This was my second booking through VRBO, and I couldn't be happier that I rented this house.

The house exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in San Francisco. After glancing through pictures and the description of the house, I did reach out to the owner, who was extremely responsive and thorough in answering any questions I have. This continued throughout the rental process, which made me feel very comfortable.

I can speak for the group of gals staying in the house when I say that is was extremely clean, cozy and spacious, and has a wonderful San Francisco charm to it. The owners also makes you feel right at home in the kitchen, which was stocked with not only the basics, but fresh fruit, milk, etc.

The location could not have been better, as the house is a block away from Haight Street, a few blocks from Whole Foods and Golden Gate park, and within blocks to public transportation to take you anywhere in the city.

I would definitely rent this house again!

Home Away From Home

This property was more than what my husband and I expected after we walked through the door of this beautiful home with our three children (ages 14, 11 and 8). After a long 6 hour flight from NJ (arriving after midnight and exhausted) it was so rewarding to see milk, eggs, butter and fresh fruit in the fridge and even several different types of coffee in the cupboards not to mention a host of other foods. We all found the beds and bedding very comfortable and it was spacious for all five of us to spread out without being on top of each other. That says a lot when you are traveling with three children!

We were a short 5 minute walk to the bus stop to take us to city attractions and there was a great market right around the corner, not to mention many other vintage-type stores and shops that Haight-Asbury is famous for.

Overall this tastefully decorated, and very clean home was well worth it. This was our first time renting thru VRBO and I don't think we will ever stay in a hotel again. Thank you so much to the home owners for making our stay such a pleasant one. We will definitely rent with them again the next time we visit the lovely city of San Francisco. My only suggestion is that they provide a guest book for people to share their experiences with attractions, stores and restaurants. Word of mouth means a lot!
