4 bedroom 3 bath - Vacation License #STPH 20130015
Experience the beauty of a Maui vacation with the comforts of a luxurious family home. Paia Paradise Beach House is an old plantation style home with modern updates that take you back to the ambiance of another age whilst providing all amenities. The charming property provides four bedrooms & three bathrooms on the beautiful oceanfront of Paia Bay. Enjoy the stunning sights and sounds of the ocean from your own personal lanai and front yard or take advantage of the picnic area for outside dinning while watching a beautiful Maui sunset. Relax after a day of sightseeing in the full sized outdoor Jacuzzi, then rinse off in the outdoor shower.
The house offers a full ocean view and access while providing 4 bedrooms (one king/three queen) and 3 bathrooms. The house is equipped with kitchen, living room, private entrances, parking spots, laundry facilities and high speed internet.
The property is perched on a promontory giving beautiful ocean views of Paia Bay and its tranquil 1/2 mile long white beach. The house sits above a sea wall and has just ten steps down to the white sand. The property is gated and just a short 150 yard walk to the center of the delightful and colorful village of Paia. Great for a romantic vacation as a couple or enjoy the property as a whole with a group or for a family reunion.
Our family enjoyed this house very much. The view from the living room and the kitchen is unbeatable. The steps access to the beach are very convenient we are able to watch our kids from the patio as they are playing on the beach. It is really in the heart of Paia town, we walked to the shops and restaurants. Couldn't ask for a better location and a better house, the price is very reasonable too. You won't find another house with this kind of location for the same price from what I have searched. We would stay here again anyday.
THE most amazing front yard in the world! Front lawn up against the crashing ocean waves with a few stone steps down to the beautiful crescent shaped quiet Paia beach. 6 one hundred foot palm trees line your oceanfront. 4, really 5 bedrooms (lanai) and 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, dozens of windows to the ocean. Fall asleep to crashing waves. Hot tub. So awesome, we never wanted to leave. (steps to beach too steep for little children or those over 50. i would not rent this with children - it's right on the wild North Shore. Everyone else, it is heaven. 1 minute walk to Paia town, coffee, and shopping. Surfers and turtles right out front every morning. Clean, beautiful, amazing.
We had the best time ever at this house! It was our second time staying here and we loved both times equally. We have stayed at several different places on Maui and this is our favorite! Paia is such a cute town with shops and restaurants that met our every need. The location is to die for! You can not get any closer to the ocean without being in it! We loved watching the sea turtles, surfers and fishermen from our front yard. Also enjoyed the beach being just steps away and the jacuzzi with the beautiful ocean view. Helen met us at the house to let us in and answer any questions we had. She also checked in with us throughout the week to see how we were doing. She went above and beyond when my daughter left her bathing suit in the shower and she contacted us and offered to ship it to us! Can't say enough positive things about this house and would highly recommend it! Hope to return soon!
My family and I were quite disappointed by the condition of the home, wherein it clearly was not cleaned prior to our arrival, floors were in need of being mopped and the overall appearance indicated it needed a good thorough cleaning as it was grimy. Deck furniture was covered in bird poo. We also unfortunately discovered cockroaches, sugar ants and other bugs that wanted to share the kitchen and bathrooms with us. ICK! No soap, shampoo in the bathrooms, as well as limited supply of TP, garbage bags, paper towels – so we ended up having to buy extra TP and paper towels, shampoo and soap. Also fire alarms were missing in most of the bedrooms, the casings were there but the units itself was missing. The outside could also use a lot of repainting and maintenance work as well. To be fair, the manager and owner tried to be responsive, but it still was an unpleasant experience. The location is great, close to the beach and shops, but the steep narrow steps to the beach prevented my elderly mom from going to the beach.
I’ve stayed at other homes through this site, but was quite shocked and unhappy with this stay. I felt I paid premium "Ritz Carlton" prices for "Motel 6" quality. I would not recommend this place to my friends or family.
Half our 10-night stay on Maui was spent at this Paia house. We are a three-generation family of 9, making for an interesting range of plans, wishes and expectations.
The best feature of this house is its site at the edge of the bay. From the porch, learn to spot the large turtles feeding among the close-in rocks. Climb very carefully down the rock stairs to sea level and walk 80 feet to a nice beach where you can swim or snorkel. Farther away to the west but in easy walking distance is an even better place for water activities.
The house is very near downtown Lower Paia, a small but important village on Highway 36. It is an active and unpretentious junction of roads leading east to Hana, south to Haleakala, and west to the airport.
We booked this house in May 2013 for a July 2014 stay, and so were unaware of the early 2014 reviews. Those reviews list numerous faults found by others. We found many of those faults ourselves. It is clear that the owners were not interested in having anything fixed or improved. Too bad. Our other 5-night rental, at a Kihei beach, was modern, well furnished and maintained, and only very slightly more costly.
I cannot rate this place higher than 3.
We couldn't have picked a better rental for our February trip. The location was fantastic and the view was spectacular. We were entertained by surfers, sea turtles and sunsets daily and much to our surprise we could view whales on the horizon. It was great to be able to walk to town for coffee, shopping and dining and step out of the yard to the beach. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed and more room than we could even use. The owner and manger were a pleasure to work with, thanks so much!
