This brand new first floor studio is part of the St Ivan Rilski Spa/Hotel complex. Residents of this studio have full use of all the facilities on offer in the hotel. The spa includes the largest indoor pool in Bansko, gym, sauna, steam room & massage area. The hotel also has 3 restaurants, 2 bars, pool table, mini supermarket & children's kindergarten. The studio sleeps up to 4 (double bed, sofa bed(1). Additional fold up bed available). The kitchenette comes fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, all cutlery & utensils. The large shower room has WC & hairdryer. The studio includes a dining area for 4 people & a sun facing balcony with a table & 4 chairs with views of the Pirin mountain. The complex is only 5 minutes from the ski gondola using the free shuttle bus & the centre of Bansko is a 15 minute walk. This studio provides a great value for money location with top class facilities for ski & golf breaks in ever more popular Bulgaria.

Skiing: Bansko has an excellent snow record, with slopes best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers. The ski runs are made up of 8 blue runs ,11 red runs & 1 black run. The skiing area is 2000-2600m above sea level, with 70km of marked piste. Bansko resort has great snow cover from December until April , supplemented by 44 snow canons when required. Snowboarders can enjoy the first Balkan fun park where they can build jumps suiting their taste & ability. There is a new halfpipe in this area that is 90m long and 15m wide. Forty snowboarders can use this at any one time as well as the 8 sliding parapets.

Availability: If more than one studio is required we can help to find other apartments in the same complex. We can also offer advice on arranging the transfer from Sofia to Bansko with firms we have used successfully.

Bansko studio review.

We stayed in Chris and Dot’s studio for a skiing holiday in February 2009. I have skied all over Europe and feel this studio and hotel have excellent facilities. The whole complex is of a very high quality. From the free shuttle bus through to the friendly on site Mehana restaurant everything was very efficient.
After a hard day skiing we relaxed in the sauna in the hotel spa. We also ate in the Mehana in the hotel complex, which was friendly with good quality food and drink, and good value for money. The hotel staff were very helpful and all spoke English.
In the studio the kitchen had all the things we needed for our holiday. The bed was very comfortable, and the central heating kept the studio very warm. The studio has one of the best balcony views as well as full sun in the afternoon, this was ideal for the afternoon beer after skiing.
I would definitely recommend this studio for couples and small families for skiing, and holidays during the rest of the year
