Great reviews from happy guests over the last 2 years .
Having spent the best past of the last few years moving between our rental homes in the West Indies having a base back here in Sidney by the Sea has given us a new appreciation for the area that we did not have when we lived and worked here.
Joanne Heath purchased this condo in 2012
This is a Penthouse top floor West and South facing luxury suite with ocean and harbour views.
Bright and airy. Our own deck to enjoy the sun and water views from.
So convenient to everything , airport, ferry, Victoria and walk into Sidney.
Great Thai food restaurant in Sidney.
This is one of the best VRBO properties I have ever been to and that's saying a lot! The property is gorgeous with beautiful gardens, and the views of the yacht harbor and the bay from the balcony are terrific. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and perfect for a couple like us. There is a very comfortable king bed and a see-thru fireplace between the bedroom and living room. There was plenty of room for a 1 bedroom and the bathroom was spacious and elegant. The area of Sidney is quaint with great restaurants (Sea Glass is in walking distance and superb), shopping, whale watching and the aquarium is fun. We really hated to leave!
I found this property to be perfectly suited to my needs. It was clean and well supplied with linens, kitchen equipment and books and games.
We decided to spending the month in Sidney since we are considering retiring there. The condo was perfect - clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious. We loved the location. It was close enough to walk into downtown Sidney. There were a few restaurants very nearby and a corner convenience store. The condo was comfortably furnished, comfy bed, lovely big soaker tub, well equipped kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. The building and grounds are beautifully maintained. We would certainly stay in the condo again. Thank you Joanne!
My husband and I just spent a relaxing three days in this lovely condo. The location is perfect; close enough to town, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful and quiet oceanfront view. We found the condo to be extremely clean, with plenty of space to relax and feel at home. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the TV and fireplace in the bedroom was a real hit! I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing stay in Sidney.
We stayed for 4 nights in late October 2014 and could have easily stayed for longer. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped, and tastefully decorated in a very quiet and picturesque location. The views of the marina and Roberts Bay were striking. There were very few residents there at the time so we felt we had the place to ourselves. Downtown Sidney was a very short drive away with everything it has to offer. The owners are friendly and prompt with any queries you may have. If you’re looking for a great spot for a little quiet relaxation we highly recommend it and would stay here again without hesitation.
We stayed here for 5 nights in early December 2013. The apartment was spotless and very tastefully decorated, and was so convenient to Sidney about 3 minutes drive away. The gardens were a very nice place to stroll around and while it was cold in December, everything was still so green and well maintained. While we were there we never saw another resident and it felt like we had the run of the entire hotel and common areas which was perfect for us and our new little one. Too bad we didn't bring our swim suits or we could have splashed around in the garden-level hot tub. Instead, we lounged in the enormous tub in the bathroom. :-) The owners were so friendly and helpful in getting everything arranged for us. They pointed out some of the little gems in Sidney for us including the Starfish cafe within walking distance (best breakfast sandwich, ever), and the Sidney Bakery where we bought a 12-inch square box (!) full of pastries for just over $5 (!!). The view of the harbour was great; my wife and I love boats, so seeing the multitude of masts with their Xmas lights on was truly a sight. I personally really liked the in-suite laundry with the incredibly hot water wash cycle since our newborn produces a lot of dirty clothes. Instant clean.
A 15 minute stroll will bring you to Sidney , famous for its many book stores. Added attractions include the Shaw Discovery Centre, Shoal Harbour Bird Sanctuary, salmon fishing, whale watching, kayaking, and a First Nations canoe tour.Close by you can also find the BC Aviation Museum .
Sidney has some excellent places to eat many interesting stores to wander around , and a lovely sea walk.
A bus ride or short drive will take you to wineries, the world famous Butchart Gardens, and Victoria set around the busy inner harbour.
Have tea at the Empress hotel, visit the Maritime Museum, the Royal BC Museum, or some of the many art galleries.Bastion Square is the site of the original Fort Victoria , and now home to many shops and restaurants.
Spend a morning wandering Antique Row ( Fort Street ), China Town, or follow the pedestrian walkway around the inner harbour.
Russells Books on Fort Street is a must for book lovers and Johnson Street for non chain store clothes.
Almost too many things to do and see in Sidney and the surrounding areas !
