Plan your vacation in Traverse City on Lake Leelanau. You will love this cozy cottage, just 8 miles from downtown Traverse City and a short drive to either Suttons Bay or Leland.

This cottage accommodates up to 8 guests, with 3 bedrooms, trundel bed area and 1 large bathroom. It is perfect for summer vacations, year round getaways, wine tour vacations, and fishing/hunting trips. The lake has 23 miles of crystal clear water to explore and enjoy. It is ideal for swimming, fishing, ice fishing, boating, water sports plus, and just relaxing and enjoying the view and sandy beach.

The cottage also offers air conditioning, gas fireplace, charcoal grill, picnic table, patio table and chairs, great room, dining room, snack bar for 3 people, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, TV with DVD player, portable stereo, and hot tub that over looks the lake. All of this is located at West Wind Resort with 400 feet of lake frontage and private harbor.

Linens are provided for all beds, however, bring your own towels. Beds sizes are 1 king, 2 queens and a twin trundel.

The spacious resort property offers a playground for children, a basketball court, volleyball, horseshoes, and plenty of space for other activities. There are 3 shared fire pits located on the water's edge, as well as a gazebo. Unique to this property is a private, protected harbor with a boat slip for a small boat up to 20 feet, and parking for your boat trailer. There is a boat launch conveniently located 1 mile south of the resort.

Whether your passion is boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, sitting around a bonfire, or relaxing at the beach, Captain Dave's Cozy Cottage is the place to be.

Why Tricia Wollam chose Lake Leelanau

The owners bought this property after growing up vacationing in the area. They fell in love with it and wanted to have a cottage to enjoy with thier children and grandchildren. They aso wanted to be able to share this property with others so that our renters could also enjoy and make memories as well.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage is centrally located to all that northern Michigan has to offer. You are minutes away from Suttons Bay, Empire, Leland, Traverse City and Glen Arbor. This property has it all for adults and families.

Our cottage is centrally located between Leland, Suttons Bay, Traverse City, Glen Arbor and Empire. Each town offers numerous attractions for every tourist's desire. The wine tours are spectacular, with each location having it's own unique personality and a must-do whether you enjoy wines or not.

Don't forget to check out the Traverse City Cherry Festival and Film Festival, along with the Polka Festival in Cedar.
