2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom Mountain Condo, Newly Remodeled, Sleeps 6-8

This condo is perfect for a summer Park City visit. Park City Resort is out the back door, with an extensive trail system for mountain biking and hiking. These trails connect to the entire trail network throughout Park City (including Deer Valley and Canyons Resort), which was named the first Gold Level ride center by the International Mountain Bike Association in 2012. Park City Resort also offers many summer activities for children, including an alpine slide, alpine coaster, rock climbing wall, mini golf, zipline, scenic chairlift rides, and more. City Park is one block in the other direction, which includes free tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, softball/baseball/soccer/football fields, a playground, and grilling areas. Main Street is a 15 minute walk from the condo through charming Old Town, and offers many options for dining, shopping, art galleries, and nightlife. Main Street also hosts the Silly Market every Sunday (local craft vendors, music, and food), and many festivals throughout the summer (Kimball Arts Festival, Wine Festival, Jazz & Food Festival, etc). Park City Golf Course is also within walking distance, which offers reasonable greens fees and an amazing mountain backdrop. There is free live music to be found in town 5 days a week, including the popular Wednesday Summer Concert Series at Deer Valley. The free town bus system has a stop that picks up outside the front door, which will take you anywhere in town. The Jordanelle Resorvoir is a short distance away (offering boating, paddle boarding, picnic areas, and sand beaches) as well as multiple rivers offering fishing and whitewater rafting. SLC international airport is easily accessible with a 45 minute drive or a shuttle ride.

This unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and was newly remodeled in 2009. It is fully furnished, as the owner was living here since the remodel. There is a large living room / dining area, equipped with a flatscreen TV, DVD player, cable TV, a fireplace, board games, and free Wifi internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking all meals, and has all new stainless steel appliances. There is also a balcony with a barbeque, as well as a washer and dryer in the unit. The tiled entryway is perfect for any wet or muddy boots and clothes.

The complex has a year-round hot tub and sauna for use, as well as a ping pong room and common area. The unit also comes with one dedicated covered parking spot in the underground garage, and additional parking is available in guest spots outside.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with pillow-top mattress, a bathroom internal to the room, 2 large closets, and a separate door to the balcony. The second bedroom has a twin-sized bunk bed, as well as a twin-sized trundle bed (one mattress on top, with another normal mattress that can pull out from underneath). The second bathroom has one doorway off of the second bedroom, and another doorway to the common hallway. The living room also offers sleeping options on the couch (with provided memory foam pad) and a provided queen sized airbed.

About Rob Horacek

I am a ski enthusiast who grew up on the East Coast, attended Boston University as an Engineering major, and moved out to Utah for the skiing and to pursue a career designing outdoor equipment (and am currently living/working overseas for the same company). After living on both the East Coast and West Coast, Park City is my favorite of the three, with the accessibility to amazing skiing, golf, mountain biking, hiking, camping, etc all right across the street. In past years I've had friends come in for visits nearly every weekend, as almost every one of them has come back repeatedly for the snow, cheap lift tickets (you can buy discount tickets down in Salt Lake on your way up from the airport), the summer activities in a beautiful mountain town, the night life, and the accessibility to a major airport.

Why Rob Horacek chose Old Town

Location location location. This is why I chose this condo to live in myself - there are many locations in Park City that require a car, a long bus ride, or an expensive cab ride to get to skiing and other attractions, so I love the convenience of having Park City Resort and Main Street in walking distance. On ski trips growing up we would stay at a condo where we were within walking distance to the lodge, and I always thought that was the best part - so that's what I looked for in Park City. I'll also mention (and sorry for the lack of humility), with this property you will have the pleasure to deal with a very friendly and responsible owner, which I know isn't always the case.

What makes this condo unique

The things I fell in love with in this condo... The covered parking - a must during the winter, as well as a plus in the summer. The hot tub - nothing better after a long day skiing or hiking than soaking in the hot tub. Also the homey, clean, new feel inside the condo.. and the ping pong table put it over the top.

The condo is located in Old Town in the heart of Park City. It is across the street from Park City Mountain Resort (named #1 Family Vacation Destination by the editors of Ski Magazine in 2011), and 5 minute drive to Deer Valley Ski Resort and Canyons Ski Resort. It is in walking distance (15 minutes) to Main St, which offers a great variety of restaurants, bars, shopping, and art galleries. City Park is across the street, offering free tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, softball/soccer/football fields, a playground, and grilling areas (in summer). Great hiking and mountain biking are across the street and connect with an extensive trail system throughout Park City (Park City was named the first Gold Level ride center by the International Mountain Bike Association in 2012). Shuttles are available to and from Salt Lake International Airport (SLC), or car rentals are available for the 45 minute drive. Other great ski areas are also in driving distance - Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton are a 45 minute drive, Snow Basin and Powder Mountain are a 1.5 hour drive. The Tangier Outlets are a 10 minute drive, and attractions in Salt Lake City are a 30 minute drive. The Jordanelle reservoir is 10 minutes away, which offers boating, camping, picnic areas, and beaches on the lake. Various rivers are also close by and offer fishing, tubing, and rafting. Park City is also home to the famous Sundance Film Festival, which happens for 10 days every January - and this condo is walking distance to half of the venues!

Perfect for a group stay

This was an ideal location and lay out for our trip to Sundance on business. Very close to shuttle stop, Main street, etc. The big living room space, comfortable couches and 3-bed room made it easy to sleep 7 people on our busiest days. Also, it was nice and quiet and the lay out allowed for privacy. We were pleasantly surprised to find it more spacious than we thought. Kitchen was well equipped, condo was very clean, the owner was a pleasure to work with.

Had a great time in this clean condo

My stay here was excellent. The condo was clean and had everything we needed to make our own dinners, enjoy the HUGE hot tub, and walk to the mountain and the night life. Parking was underneath the building and getting snow gear up two flights of stairs is a bit of work but having the car in the garage was a huge plus when the heavy snow came in. Also the proximity to the mountain was unbeatable - we could walk to park city resort and the shuttle stop for all the other mountains was right in front of the condo. Thanks for the great times.

A great place in Park City!

I have stayed here several times since 2010, among other places in Park City. This is my favorite. This unit is wonderful; very well laid out and with nice furnishings. The complex has a game room and a great hot tub. The location is great - you can go literally across the street to PCMR! There is also a (free) bus stop right there if you want to get to any of the other PC resorts. All that with a very competitive price. Highly recommended.

Excellent accomodations steps away from Park City Ski Resort

My friends and I stayed at this rental property twice during the 2011/2012 ski season and were very impressed by the accomodations. The property is only a block away from Party City Ski Resort and next to a bus station that gets you to Canyons very quickly. We also enjoyed the proximity to the downtown area for shopping, restaurants, and nightlife - just a short walk away. The hot tub is very large, fits up 10-20 people, and very nice. Ski conditions obviously the best in the country... Highly recommended!
