Only 5 blocks east of CSU, and a half-mile to Old Town Fort Collins, but in a very quiet & tucked away residential neighborhood with low traffic. Close to the new MAX bus system opening in May 2014, and near shopping, restaurants, Old Town, and Fort Collins tourist attrctions. This brick ranch home was built in 1946 and was recently totally remodeled to maintain the charm of the era with modern conveniences. We now have Central Air Conditioning for comfort from summer heat! Hardwood floors in the living and kitchen areas, carpeting in the bedrooms and tile in the bathroom with an all-new kitchen make it a new house in a vintage feel. Every room has a good-sized window (or 2), and all the house is on one-level.
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with a memory-foam mattress and a Flat Screen TV (the other TV is in the Living area)
Bedroom 2 has a fold-down futon with a desk area
The bathroom has a shower only (no tub) along with a pedestal sink and toilet. The house has a new Instant Hot Water heater so you'll never have to wait for hot water.
The living area and eating areas are joined and have a comfy sitting area to watch the large flat-screen TV (upgraded cable). WI-FI internet is included.
The kitchen is clean, open and easy to work in. Microwave, full stove, full refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, all plates and preparation utensils included.
There is a full-sized washer & full-sized dryer in the house. There is also a 1 car attached garage with an opener.
The backyard is fully-fenced and private with large trees and abundant small wildlife like squirrels, raccoons, birds and even fox. There is a sitting patio in the back with a gas grill and picnic table, and a small porch with a bench in the front. All great for relaxing at the beginning or end of a busy day!
An automatic sprinkler system was installed in 2013 along with landscaping for efficient water use.
Centrally located and close to so many employers and attractions--Colorado State University, Colorado State Veterinary Hospital, Poudre Valley Hospital, Old Town, Otterbox, Dept of Natural Resources, New Woodward Governor site, and only 3 blocks to CSU University Center for Fine Arts and the flower gardens.
The home is non-smoking only. No 420 or MMJ. Minimum age for renting is 25 years old (children of renters exempt of course). Valid photo ID required for check-in and must match name on booking. No subletting, no large parties. Our house is small and not equipped for large groups.
As a general rule, we prefer no dogs, but we are dog-owners and lovers ourselves so we will consider a well-mannered dog or two with an interview in advance, and additional fee and deposit. Sorry, no cats or any other caged animals. If your dog meets our guidelines, there is a wonderful official fenced dog park only 2 blocks away for exercise and socializing. However, our fenced backyard is great for exercising too.
We have lived in Fort Collins for 29 years and love it! Hewlett Packard brought us here after college graduation in the Midwest. We've raised our children here, and think Fort Collins is a wonderful place to live and visit!
Sharon purchased this house in 1996
This house was purchased as a rental property for family, and two of our children have lived in it previously. It has been so comfortable and we all have fond memories there. It has the best of everything and location, location, location!
This house is so close to all the action, yet the neighborhood is so quiet. Easy access to main roads. Prospect and College Ave are the closest cross-streets.
Thank you for your hospitality. We felt right at home and the location was great! Our child really likes CSU. It wil be interesting to hear the final decision. We would definitely stay here again.
Cut through the clutter of rental homes and head directly to Circle Drive! We rented here for two months, and it's truly a standout for location, coziness, convenience to everywhere, and the most gracious hosts in the Fort. It has everything you need for a memorable stay - the interior is tastefully furnished, kitchen and laundry well-stocked, great back yard, and easy proximity to bike paths, Old Town and campus. A tranquil oasis in the midst of everything - we give it six stars out of five!
We stayed here for a week over the holidays and it felt like we were in our own home. It was clean and stocked and comfortable in every way. With snow falling on Christmas day it was perfect!
Recently completed a 10-week stay in this wonderful house near the CSU campus while working on the campus. As you can see from the photos, the house is well maintained. Everything you could possibly want for an extended stay is provided. Sharon and Ed are especially welcoming, helpful and available to assist if needed. They have stocked the house as though it was their home. The kitchen includes a full spice cabinet, back-up supplies in the cupboards and plenty of dishware, utensils and cooking equipment. The on-demand hot water system means you always have hot water. Although I was not able to take advantage of the large backyard due to weather, it has a BBQ and picnic table and would be lovely through the late spring/summer/fall. Appreciated the laundry, garage (it is small, but will work fine for compact vehicles) and efficiency of the house. This great property is located within walking distance of the campus, the Spring Creek Trail, grocery stores and restaurants. Looking forward to returning in the future!
We spent a month here visiting family and friends. Since we're familiar with Fort Collins, we knew this location would be perfect for easy access to bike trails, campus, Old Town, and great walkable neighborhoods. What we didn't anticipate was how much we'd fall in love with this house! Sharon and Ed are exceptionally hospitable, and have thought of everything to make it feel like home. Tastefully appointed, well-stocked with supplies, and situated on a quiet street, this comfortable home was truly top-notch in every aspect. We can't imagine a better place in Fort Collins as home base for taking advantage of everything the Fort has to offer - and we can hardly wait to return!
As other reviewers have said Ed and Sharon have made this rental into a welcome guest house. The large fenced yard is beautiful with great shade trees. The home has all amenities, hair dryer, spices, cooking essentials, coffee machine, WiFi, there are plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. The furnishings are comfortable and the home is kept up beautifully. Sharon and Ed are helpful and responsive for any concerns. We enjoyed the area's festivities as well as the home. Lots of biking and hiking nearby. There is a bike library in town so you can borrow bicycles and head out to the trails. Don't skip Sharon's suggestion to dine at Young's Vietnamese on College Ave. We also enjoyed the bar menu at the Canyon Steakhouse (try a Blue Paddle brew), Enzio's happy hour and The Chocolate Café for dessert. The S'more cookie at Mary's Mountain Cookies is sinful. Our dogs enjoyed the nearby dog park.
This house worked out very well for our needs. Everything was very clean. Our dog liked the fenced back yard. The neighborhood was very quiet. The owners were very accommodating and close by if we needed anything. Everything in the home worked - no problems. The Keurig was a nice touch, too.
Enjoyed Fort Collins, the Cooper Smith Brewery, and old downtown. Hiking and beautiful scenery close by.
Close to Colorado State University with a central Fort Collins, CO location. Quiet, low-traffic residential neighborhood, great for biking, walking and easy access to main streets. Approx 4 blocks to the new MAX bus system (opening May 2014). The location is NOT close to busy and often noisy apartment complexes.
