Photos and Description of the Elounda vacation house rental 2 bedroom house, sleeps 4 in a quiet village with mountain views

The house is situated overlooking the traditional Cretan village of Pines, in an elevated, rural location, with superb views of the mountains surrounding the village. Pines is just a 10 minute drive from the amenities of Elounda - sandy beaches, shops restaurants and bars. The house will make a great base for both walking or beach holidays and offers clean, comfortable accommodations with everything you need for your stay. There is a small terraced garden and shaded balcony areas for outside dining. A traditional Cretan Kafeneion has recently opened within the village, a 10 minute walk from the house, which offers great food at village prices and a chance to meet the locals.

Nearest Airport: Heraklion at 70 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Agios Nikolaos at 10 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: Elounda at 5 Kilometres

The property is situated in an elevated location within the small village of Kato Pines, some 10 minute drive from Elounda. It is also possible to walk from the village, either down the road (approx 40 minutes) or by way of a donkey track through the village of Pano Elounda, avoiding traffic. Various excursions can be organised in Elounda, including boat trips to the island of Spinalonga (subject of Victoria Hislop's book The Island and soon to be made into a film) , Samaria Gorge and the 'golden' Chrissi island on the south of Crete. Various watersports are also available along with boat rentals. The larger town of Agios Nikolaos is approx 12 km away and is served by a regular bus service.

  • A 20% non refundable deposit will be required upon confirmation of your booking to secure the dates.
    If the holiday is booked within 4 weeks of arrival, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
    The final balance will be required 4 weeks before the arrival date.

  • Cancellation:
    If the holiday is cancelled by you, the deposit is non refundable. If you cancel once the final balance has been paid, this will be non-refundable if the owners are unable to re-let the property.

    If the holiday is cancelled by the owner, a full refund of all monies paid will be made to you.
  • Rental Period:
    The rental period commences at 14:00 hours on the first day and ends at 10:00 hours on the last day, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.
