Our home is located in the town of Lake Placid which offers all the necessities plus the quaintness of a country location. It is in the gated community of Lake June Pointe surrounded on one side by the lake and the other by orange groves. Lake June is known for being great for fishing, watersports, wildlife viewing, unbelievably beautiful sunsets and a sandy bottom. We designed our home to be casual but elegant with all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. We are located just 12 miles from Sebring which offers malls, movies, numerous restaurants, health/beauty spas, etc. Orlando is just an hour plus away with all of the theme parks and MAJOR SHOPPING at your fingertips.

Our home has an open floor plan, tile floors throughout with a vaulted ceiling in the kitchen, dining room and family/living room area. There is a gas fireplace with a floor to ceiling brickfront to keep you warm on chilly mornings or evenings. The bedrooms and bathrooms all have 10' ceilings. The living area and all bedrooms have lake views. The large kitchen boasts tremendous cabinet and granite counter space. The pantry allows for plenty of storage to keep the appliances and your food stuffs out of sight. The large master bedroom opens to the screened patio and has an impressive walk-in closet. The master bathroom is spacious, has double sinks, a make-up seating area, big shower and a jacuzzi bathtub. The other two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom which separates them. They have a pocket door separating them from the rest of the house. The A/C system in the house has three separate zones allowing for varied temperatures as well as energy efficiency. Above the garage are two bonus rooms with the larger one [13x'x26'] used as an additional bedroom sleeping up to 4 in trundle beds. The second room provides limited equipment for exercising. Overall the living area of the home is approximately 2800 sq. ft.

There is a two car garage with a workbench, extra cabinet storage if you need it and room for all of you lake toys and fishing gear. The backyard has a Fl. Oak that provides beauty, shade and a relaxing swing. The beach area allows for tanning to make you the envy of your northern friends. There is an area directly on the lake with lawn chairs, lounges and a fire pit [shaded] for relaxing, making smores and enjoying sunsets that will match any you have ever seen.

The dock house is located about 150' off shore allowing the water depth for the boat lift to be accessible even if the lake is down. The boat lift can accommodate either fishing or ski boats. There is another lift for two PWC's with both lifts being under roof. The remainder of the boat house has two areas; one is covered offering an area to sit, eat, etc. and the other is open and provides a perfect place to catch fish right off the dock [and we do]!

Jeannie is a retired teacher specialists [30 yrs.] and I [John ] am a retired principal [37 yrs.] from Broward County, Fl. Jeannie moved to Fl. in 1972 from Ma. and I moved to Fl. in 1955 from N.Y. We presently travel between the lake; Ponce Inlet, Fl. and Banner Elk, N.C.

Jeannie and I began visiting friends in Lake Placid on Lake Grassy in 1986. We fell in love with the area and when the Lake June development opened we bought a lot and later designed and built our home in 2001. Bill Brantley a local and very well respected builder constructed our home. Before retiring we visited the lake almost every weekend to survive the everyday stress of work and the crowded Ft. Lauderdale area. Our children and grandchildren have also enjoyed coming on a regular basis to make it like a camp each weekend.

The City of Lake Placid is a great place to visit because of the friendly people who live here. The low key atmoshpere and wonderful values of the residents provides for a lovely place to vacation. This town is the 'way it was when we were young' and is a joy to be a part of. You can't beat the people, weather, lake, watersports, fishing, wildlife watching, sunsets, location and our beautiful home. Come stay with us you won't be sorry.

There is a dock house located 150' offshore. There is a lift for one boat [either fishing or ski] that is under a roof and an additional lift for two PWC's which is also under roof. There are also two additional 12'x12' areas; one protected under roof ideal to use as an eating area and the other open ideal to use as a fishing platform. There dock also has electric, water and lighting.
