About Cary Adams
Jointly owned by partners Gary Ortega, a healthcare Financial Analyst and Cary Adams, a retired school teacher of 37 years. This is a home away from home of North Hollywood CA. Cary has owned a house in the valley for 23 years and this is the 'get away from the hustle and bustle of LA.
Cary Adams purchased this house in 2009
Why Cary Adams chose Cathedral City
When you drive over Beaumont pass, suddenly you sense the air changes. It is crispier. And then views are vast. A sense of freedom grabs you as you pass by the wind turbines. The avenues are landscaping works of art. I have never seen neighborhood spend so much money and attention to common areas. This always makes for a lovely drive. Did I mention the great weather - driving with a top down at night is a treat. One would expect to be in a remote area but the Coachella Valley is only two hours from LA. This may explain why this resort town is sophisticated and at the same time it is surprisingly archeologically significant, geologically interesting (close to San Andreas fault) and has Hollywood history/lore built into its fabric. Most of our LA friends vacation here and own a second home here.
What makes this house unique
The mature trees on the entrance of the gated community winds into this clusters of unique homes. Ours has very contemporary lines on the exterior. The walls are made of eco-blocks. An 11-inch thick combination of foam and cement refractory material which we were told will be the last construction of its kind. While the lines are modern outside the decorator made sure the interiors are grounded in warn rich colors and textures that evoke a modern 'country feel'. All of this while being on the Gerald Ford corridor, which I think is the most manicured avenue in the valley. It is close to all the amenities one could need, want or desire.
