This house is not just lodging, it is a destination in itself.

It is a charming 149 year old Pioneer home on a large lot with 150 year old shade trees, fruit trees, and flower gardens. The interior is tastefully decorated from the period and is likely one of the most comfortable and homey places you have ever stayed. Large redwood deck under huge shade trees, and covered front porch. Typical kitchen amenities in its large country kitchen. Elevation is 6000 feet. For motorcycle tourers, can arrange secure covered parking.

What makes this cottage unique

Old hand hewn log barn. Ornate front porch railing and trim. Original pine wood flooring. Kitchen fireplace, gorgeous yard. Old original double hung windows, and of course the beautiful grounds. Lots of off-street parking. warm and comfortable furniture and decor. In small town business district. Walk to restaurants and services.

I have stayed ar Coats Cottage several times over the last two ski seasons. After staying a motels in Parowan and Cedar City and condos at Brian Head, staying at the cottage has proven an ideal situation. Brian Head is a short distance away and at the cottage you not only have access to local dining and shopping, the drive to Cedar City is easy with a lot more options for dining and shopping.
The cottage itself is really nice and comfortable with an additional digital TV and Blueray this year. The full kitchen with dishwasher keeps the food costs down, the beds are comfortable and it is always clean. It is just a really nice place to stay with some history attached. I can highly reccomend it for a ski vacation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
