This exclusive and very private retreat is situated at the edge of the Ronda Mountains with spectacular south facing views across to the Mediterranean. The finca has been extensively renovated and refitted to create a truly unique home combining the finest elements of rustic Spain with the latest home comforts. This is a finca with a real “ WOW Factor ” having its own indoor spa area. Enjoy a swim whatever the weather in our fabulous 13m by 3m heated pool, or have a refreshing jacuzzi or relaxing sauna. The double height salon leads out to a swimming pool that wraps itself around a Mirador overlooking the bar which allows you to live the outdoor lifestyle to the full and the terraced dining area makes a cosy yet elegant entertaining space. All the bedrooms have generously sized bathrooms en-suite and the finca is packed with features that makes life in the campo as comfortable and relaxing as possible with extras such as satellite 50 inch TV, Xbox 360 Kinetic and internet connection.

Children are very welcome as are babies. We have 2 cots, a child´s size bed, 2 high chairs, a baby bath and sterilizer. If under 12 they must be supervised when swimming because both pools are unfenced. All the bedrooms have fans and mosquito netting on windows. For cooler months there is warm air heating throughout the finca as well as a wood burner in the salon and an open fire in the master bedroom. In the summer there is a cool air system throughout the finca.

To make your holiday stress free our staff are there on site to help you enjoy yourselves and to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Their cottage is separate from the finca and they are very aware that your privacy is important but it is reassuring to know, should you need help, that they are there to assist you.

Finca de Palmero is an exclusive and very private retreat, and great for winter breaks, having its own indoor spa comprising heated (28º) pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Whatever the weather you can enjoy our indoor Spa. Pamper yourself swimming in the heated pool, having an invigorating and refreshing jacuzzi, relaxing with a soothing sauna. Enjoy your favourite cocktail at our cosy poolside bar with log burner and your choice of music. Later, watch the amazing sunsets from the poolside bar.

ENJOY this luxury home near the picturesque village of Gaucín. From the indoor Spa to the spacious Mirador, it´s a great place to “ chill out ”.

Finca de Palmero is 7 kilometres from the village of Gaucín on the road to Colmenár and sits in 24 acres of land, fully fenced, South facing and surrounded by mature trees. Sandy beaches are less than 45 minutes away at Sabinillas and Golf Courses at Valderama, Sotogrande, San Roque, La Duquesa, Alcaidesa, Almenara and Estepona are all less than an hour away. For the more energetic sailing and windsurfing at Tarifa is a 90 minute drive. Or you can take a day trip by hovercraft from Tarifa to Tangiers in Morocco. In the winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada is two and a half hours drive away. Gibraltar Airport is about 60 minutes drive and Malaga Airport about 80 minutes. Nearest shopping is Gaucín which has, 2 banks with cash dispensers, supermarket, petrol station, post office, doctor, medical clinic, pharmacist, municipal tennis court, 2 chldren´s playgrounds and of course, restaurants and tapas bars. Marbella with its shops, restaurants and night life is an hour away!

Notes

  • Finca de Palmero is rented on a self catering basis. Rental rates are for the property per week in Euros and includes Maid service for the servicing of bedrooms 6 days a week between 09.00-13.30 (not available on Tuesdays) . Self service continental breakfast included in the rental between 9.00 and 10:00 (not available on Tuesdays). Please note there are no extra charges for heating the house or indoor swimming pool.
    Payment by international bank transfer please. First payment due is a 30 % non-refundable reservation deposit. We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.
    Balance due 28 days before holiday arrival date. Please note that there will be a cash deposit of 500 euros payable on arrival to cover any damage during your stay-refundable on departure.

We have spent a fantastic week here at the Finca.

We have spent a fantastic week here at the Finca,celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary and friends birthday. The weather was kind to us and the sun shone throughout, so we were able to sample the outdoor pool as well as the indoor both of which were a great hit with our 2 and a half year old granddaughter. The facilities are amazing, but it was the warm welcome from Sara and Ian as well as John and Jane ( who so kindly invited us to meet the alpacas at their beautiful new house) that made the holiday so special. Nothing was too much trouble for Sara! From recommendations for walks and where to buy fish to booking us a table at a lovely restaurant outside Ronda for our celebratory meal and cooking us two delicious meals herself. We are sad to be leaving but have wonderful memories to take home.

Thanks for everything! We spent an amazing week in the Finca. Despite variable weather we could enjoy the indoor swimming pool every day which was the children’s favorite. Pingpong was another key attraction as well as exploring the grounds and the surroundings. The house is perfect throughout and a delight to live in. Every single detail is perfect or very close to. Sarah and Ian have been present, caring, efficient and discreet throughout. We will keep very fond memories of Sarah’s meals which have been a real delight. Great recipes with local quality products and lots of love. It has been magnificent.

Everything lived up to our expectations – and more! It’s a joy to be back in Andalucia. We have been looked after in everyway, and the meals cooked by Sarah were superb.Much needed rain has refreshed the coutryside, and the villa and surroundings have refreshed us! Finca de Palmero! Awesome! A luxury, private well appointed estate- we are so glad we stayed in this lovely home in this beautiful setting. Thank you! With four college students and one high schooler we really appreciated the privacy of all the bedrooms. And the pool, sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool combo was over the top relaxing and fun. Thanks to Sara and Ian we knew where to visit, what routes to take, and what restuarants to frequent. Sara was especially helpful arranging our tour of Tangier, Morrocco and the visit to the Equestrian Horse Show in Jerez. The beautiful gardens, well appointed interiors and all the extra creature comforts really made out stay incredibly comfortable. Congratulations on owning and running such a “ 5 Star” property we are grateful for our experience here!

What a fabulous home! We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you John and Jane for showing us the alpacas and your house. Terry and Susan made us feel so welcome and cooked amazing meals for us and helped us celebrate Jay's 73rd birthday. It was a lovely reunion of 3 generations of our family and we appreciated the helpful suggestion for a beach day at Sabinillas. The 'farm house' has every amenity. We used the pools, the ping pong table, the gazebo and the outside views were magnificent. kudos for creating a beautiful retreat,
