Tucked away in a quiet old neighborhood yet close to the plaza makes this a great place to explore from and return to for a quiet evening. Private patio/garden fenced area for sitting out and enjoying our cool Taos evenings. Private, charming area. Excellent walking area.
We came to Taos to enjoy the fall colors but found ourselves really enjoying the town of Taos. We walked, shopped, dined and in the end viewed the owner's paintings at Act l Gallery. A great 3 days in a sweet apartment in the perfect location. Our dogs loved it too - a private patio/garden to explore and stretch their legs and then stretch out for a nap.
Thanks, we'll be back!
Fantastic little place in Taos. It's a bit rustic, but I love an authentic feel. The hot tub was a nice touch!
I was looking for a place near the plaza (perfect!) and an experience of living near the heart of things (exactly that!), and a writing retreat (not so perfect). The studio is roomy with a pleasant patio (which accommodated my 60 lb. Doodle quite well for a little wandering). But the room is a tad dark without all the lights on - there's the smallish window over the sink and the door leading out to the patio only. I was hoping for an inspired view with which to do some needed creative writing. Alas. But, the basics for a life indoors was there: cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, some pots and pans, "cozy" shower, places to walk about. The upstairs neighbors who come and go are not really a big problem, but you tend to know they're there any time day or night. Kate was immediately helpful with any questions I had. Comfy bed. This is a place that exactly fits the description for those needing a place to sleep, eat breakfast and be off for the day and evening.
Great location, clean with character. Only thing missing was salt and pepper shaker! Thanks!
Pleasantly surprised at location in walking distance to the plaza. Clean and comfy. Nice bed linens and fenced in patio. Will go back again !
Quiet, secluded, studio apartment. It was nice to have a spot away from the tourist crowd. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Shower was extremely small but workable. Owners responded immediately to needs and were very helpful. Parking was tight and finding the location was tricky as it's on an unmarked alley. Good place to base out of for day excursions around northern NM. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
The location was fantastic- easy walk to downtown Taos, and the condo has a great courtyard. Unfortunately, though, the condo looked as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. There were substantial dustbunnies and cobwebs throughout the apartment. There was also peeling paint in a number of areas, and the shower curtain smelled moldy. We also had upstairs neighbors who walked around loudly at 4 am- not conducive for sleeping right below them. We were disappointed by these things, but enjoyed Taos very much. We liked that the car was right outside the room- so it was easy to load in and out.
This area is rich in history, art galleries, theatre, parks and areas to walk and enjoy. Thursday evening music on the plaza, events at the park, favorite local hang outs, unique shops and local color are all an easy walk in our cool evenings.
