Pollino National Park: The Pollino National Park is the place for a walking holiday. Serra Dolcedorme itself, at 2000m, is the prime destination for many, although there are many mountain ranges which are just as beautiful and challenging. Amongst them are the Pollino, Serra delle Ciavole, Serra di Crispo, where the Palebark Pine still climbs the rocky highest tops of this mountain of breathtaking beauty.

The Park is also the ideal location for historical, cultural and gastronomic holidays, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, visiting archaeological, religious and historical sites and discovering local traditions and typical food. Healthy and natural food grown from our farmers in an oasis of water and green land that helps to give the Pollino National Park some of the very best places to eat in South Italy.

The apartment: A modern apartment in a rural setting with stunning sea views, and on the edge of the Pollino National Park.

Located just 20 minutes walk from the centre of Belvedere Marittimo and Diamante (City of Murals), and just 200 m. from the beach.

There is a small but well stocked supermarket at the bottom of the access road, and the Bar Kiss Kiss and the Tribal Bar. Access to the beach is across the road and under the railway through one of the access tunnels. A bigger supermarket is 5 minutes away by car towards Belvedere pass the right-hand turn off for the town the road curves to the left and the supermarket complex (good butchery, bakery, take-away lasagne/pizza/chicken/etc. & 5 litre bottle of local wine 9 Euros) with other (clothes and shoe) shops is approx 200 yards on the left.

Restaurants: The restaurant la Botte dei Sapori is 5 minutes walk away towards Belvedere on the same side of the main road (SS18) as the apartment above a cheese shop (black & white cow next to the road). If you pass the Botte dei Sapori, 5 more minutes walk is the Hotel Belvedere with a good restaurant, just before the Esso garage, and just after the Esso garage turn left up the hill and on the right is the La Pergola restaurant.

The excellent restaurant Sabia D’Oro is 10 to 15 minutes walk away on the opposite side of the main road towards Diamante, take the first road exit down towards the beach.

On the sea front in Belvedere is the D’Aprile D’Aprile a very good restaurant and there are a number of smaller places to eat along the sea front and in the town.

The restaurant Bar Tavola is 5 minutes walk away towards Diamante on the same side of the main road as the apartment next to a small garage, good pizzas!
