This beautiful home located in the Sylvan Lake area sits on twenty wildlife-filled acres in the middle of Noble County Indiana.
About Adam Mains

We have been married for fourteen years. Since high school, we dreamed of owning our own home. That dream became a reality in 1998. We have entered a stage in our life in which we want to give back. We have been praying that we can use this home for a great purpose. It is our hope that this home will not only be rented by people who need to 'get away from it all', but also for men's and women's spiritual retreats. This home is perfect for that! We are now working in the mission field and we now want to share our home for others to enjoy!

Our family has lived in Noble County since the 1840's. It is only natural for us to be in the middle of it!

What makes this house unique

We have owned this 'Fortress of Solitude' for fourteen years. God has really blessed us with a place where one can enjoy the majesty of nature. This home is centrally located to many wonderful attractions. Each Memorial and Labor day, music lovers come from all over to the Tri-State Bluegrass Festival. In October, the cool autumn weather brings us the Kendallville Apple Festival. This highly celebrated event is a draw for thousands of people who are seeking delicious treats and handmade crafts. Also, a short ten minute drive will put you in the heart of Amish country. Shipshewana is not too far away (25 miles). This mecca for Amish culture enthusiast is home to one of Indiana's largest flea markets, an indoor water park and many wonderful restaurants. But most importantly, it is our desire to provide you with a home that will bring you a time of joy and peace!

The perfect get a way

For five years, there have been 10 of us that have gone camping. In one year, three couples had five children. We had to do something different.
We found this home in Rome City, and decided to give it a try. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE! The home is beautiful. The covered porch provided the perfect place to hang out, with a porch swing, and the constant sound of trickling water from the pond. There was a barbeque, a fire pit, and plenty of parking space. It is surrounded by nothing but woods, and trails. We could all be together but not on top of each other. The kitchen was so big and roomy. All amenities were provided, and the detail was incredible. The best part was the huge dining room table that allowed us all to comfortably sit together. We have already planned to book again for next year.

Magnificent Place!

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. We rented this beautiful property to get away for a couple of days and this was the perfect place. The home is beautifully decorated with hardwood floors and two large bathrooms. From the porch, many different kinds of trees and birds were enjoyed. My sister and I really enjoyed hiking the many trails. Our favorite trail led down to the creek. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is seeking a getaway. The home is big enough to host a retreat for a family or group. Our only regret is not staying longer. When our rental days were over my sister and I did not want to leave. Our stay was unbelievably great and the owners were extremely friendly, kind, and gracious. It was the best getaway we could have asked for. We will be renting again soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
