About Rose Bunch
I am a writer and artist from Fayetteville. As a renter of vacation homes myself, I remodeled and designed the house to feel like a private retreat.
Rose Bunch purchased this house in 2000
Why Rose Bunch chose Fayetteville
I have remodeled six homes and this is the one I kept. No matter where I move to, I don't think I can ever part with this house and will always be returning to the Ozarks. Fayetteville has so much to offer in terms of natural beauty, events and laid-back lifestyle. If you are looking at this website you probably already know that. This house will put you in a location that makes it easy to access all this region has to offer, close to Dickson Street and downtown, while also providing a unique and elegant retreat that is private and spacious.
What makes this house unique
I totally gutted and remodeled this house. I have a preference for natural materials (stone and wood) as well as metal, so I redesigned the fireplace and covered it in tumbled, rough marble with dual wrought iron mantles. Plenty of windows and porches were added, such as the covered, private porch off the master bedroom. From there you can sometimes catch sight of the massive hawk who nests nearby. Off the kitchen I have put in a tiered, herb garden that provides fresh rosemary, basil, sage, chives - whatever is seasonal - for cooking, and an additional seating area for enjoying your morning coffee. At night you can sleep with the doors open and awake to the sunlight and birdsong in the master suite, which almost feels like a tree house because of the many old growth oak and maples. This home is like no other in Fayetteville, or anywhere else, and it is the uniqueness of the physical property combined with the personal touches of the interior that you will enjoy.
