Casuarina Point is a unique location with beautiful, crystal clear shallow water. This area boasts some of the prettiest white sand beaches in the world, one of which is at your doorstep. The reef that protects the bay provides for calm waters unlike many oceanfront beaches. With several small uninhabited islands in the area you can always find something to do. There are blue holes, shoals, flats, sand banks and at least three very private beaches for swimming and picnics. If you like fly fishing for the elusive bone fish you need not go any further than right out the front door. Several of our guests have caught them wading less the five hundred feet from the house. The sand banks in the area are a great place for the young and old to discover new things like rays, star fish, shelling and sand dollars which we can guarantee that you will find. There is much to do if you wish to get out and explore.
For your use there are four kayaks, one of which is a tandem and the option to rent our small motorized boat. The thirteen foot Boston Whaler will allow you to venture further and discover even more. Our home is situated such that the beach is on one side and the canal access is on the other therefore you will be able to use the boat regardless of tides. Our home is the only one in Casuarina Point that has no restriction due to tides.
Should you decide on having us arrange deep sea, bonefish or snorkeling charters the captains can pick you up at your doorstep. Once again the only place in Casuarina where this can be done.
Our home is elevated for good breezes and provides spectacular views of the blues and greens of the bay during the day and millions of stars at night. Watching the moon or sunrise over the bay can be an exhilarating experience. Beach chairs are provided along with lounge chairs for the sun deck. On the covered porch we have an outdoor dining table with seating, Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs and a stainless steel Kitchenaid grill. There is a Tiki Hut on the beach with beach chairs that provide you some shade on the beach and a nice place to have lunch.
Keylime Beach House is very well outfitted as listed below with ample space and very comfortable furnishings as you will see by the photos and items listed. Wireless internet and cable throughout, local and internet phone provided.

James and Donna Rees owners of Key Lime Beach House are licensed Brokers and also Owners of Abaco Island Properties Bahamas, with office located in Marsh Harbour.
Working as Real Estate Agents in Abaco for the past 8 years, both are familiar with Abaco, it's mainland and outer cays. Key Lime Beach House is a new and exciting venture. Having always dreamed of owning their own beach home, now their dream has come true. They are eager to share it and look forward to making friends from all corners of the world.
Donna Rees purchased this house in 2012
As children, both of us spent our summers in nearby Cherokee Sound, James with his father who owned a bonefishing camp and Donna with her Grandparents who lived there. We both always have loved the sun and sea and the quiet, relaxing beauty of Casuarina Point and the surrounding area. We raised our children and always dreamed of returning. We enjoy taking a sunset boatride or kayaking in the Bay. Sometimes we just sit and float with the tide. The water is so crystal clear you can see so many sea creatures that you have never seen before. Sometimes there will be a pod of dolphin playing in the channel in front of the house. So here we are, living our dream!
We feel safe here and the Abaco’s friendly people just make life wonderful. We purchased the property 11 years ago and always dreamed of having a beach home. This property is unique because we enjoy boating and we can keep our boat at the back door and just steps to the beach to go for a swim. We love watching the schools of bonefish 'tailing' as they feed in the shallow water. The boat basin is like our very own aquarium with tarpon, bonefish, mullet, many other small fish and crabs. We just love being close to nature and the private location at the end of the community. We can take a moonlit stroll on the beach and not worry about a thing.
If you are looking for a vacation home that is private and remote this is the place for you. The beach house was wonderful! Clean, well maintained, lots of extras. The view from the balcony is breath taking but if you like spending time outside in the early mornings & late afternoons/evenings then bug spray is a must! The beach was perfect for shell hunting & long walks. Unfortunately the water in front of the beach house was too shallow for swimming. You must have a car in order to travel to town or enjoy other parts of the island. A big thank you to Donna & Jamie. You were great. You responded quickly to the many questions we had prior to our visit and to any questions or concerns that we had once we arrived.
Great everything! I have been around the world, stayed at many places and I have to honestly say that Keylime is right up there, top of the list. As previous people have said, a rental car is a must. The kayaks are awesome, so much to go see. Boat is highly recommended so you can do some fishing or snorkeling over the blue hole's that are right in the bay in front of the house. Fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to catch your own dinner or shop at the local store and make all your own meals. Area is great for all ages. Shell searching is some of the best right on your own quiet beach. Good pair of wading shoes or water shoes recommended for walking around on the beach and in the water. All in all, nothing bad or even close to bad about this house. This is a return vacation for sure. A+++++ rating. Thank you!!!!!!
Great house...great hosts...everything we needed and then some!
The addition of the boat is a must, great free diving in local blue holes...fish and lobster.
Shopping in town market has everything, rental car a must....great secluded location with incredible beach.
Perfect for our water loving family...we'll be back.
Late with this review but can't say enough good things! We spent a week at KeyLime Beach house and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful with everything you would need! We only ate out once because we didn't want to miss a moment outside. We rented the small boat and that's a must so you can explore the area. We picniced several afternoon at the island directly across from the house.(Point of Spit) Our children ages 12 and 15 loved exploring and finding all sorts of shells and sea creatures. My husband was able to bone fish directly behind the house. He also hired a guide for a day of bone fishing with Buddy Pinder. It was a highlight of the trip for my husband and son. We took a ferry over to Hope Town to see the light house and had a nice lunch at Harbours Edge. We did all our grocery shopping at Maxwells it has everything you will need! Our host Donna and James were amazing. They left us a bottle of wine and brought us fresh fish the first night. They were just a phone call away for any problems or questions!! I would highly recommend this house to anyone that wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of a resort. It's the real Bahamas!
Our family (4 kids ages 16,9,8 and 7) spent Thanksgiving week here and it couldn't have been nicer! The house is fully stocked with anything you may need and the owners were so kind and helpful. Having the boat was key as it allowed us to explore other little islands. Our kids loved the kayaks too. If you're on the fence about booking, just do it. You won't be disappointed!
We had a great time, house and beach are awesome. Plenty of room and privacy. Make sure to plan trip during season as alot of attractions are closed in the offseason, if your going to have thje island to yourself go in the offseason. The Bay in front of the house has everything to enjoy a vacation without leaving the house (get the little boat). Quick 30minute trips from Marsh Harbour if you rent a boat and want to go to some of the other islands (22' CDM is all you need). Hopetown is a very nice quiet place to visit. The house is about 20-30mins from town so make sure you get what you need when you are there. Donna and Jamie are great and can point you in the right direction. If you want to get away from everything and enjoy walking on the beach and playing in the water this is the place to go (Privacy Galore).
Located on a beautiful white, powder sand beach overlooking Cherokee Sound, a breathtaking shallow water bay. Great spot to wade and fly fish for bonefish or explore one of the many blue holes. Also located on the property is your very own private boat basin it's like an aquariam. Stand on the seawall and fish for snapper and bonefish. Very private area, on a dead end road. Sunbathe in privacy on the sundeck. At low tide there is a sand flat, ideal for shelling. Pete's Pub is a great place to relax and enjoy a tropical libation or have a fabulous dinner with the catch of the day and enjoy the local flavour of Abaco. For guided fly fishing, there is a local guide at the end of the street, well worth spending the day with. Across the bay at Cherokee Sound there are Deep Sea fishing charters available. Off shore there are several small uninhabited islands called 'cays' that have beautiful beaches, great for picnicing or shelling/beachcombing. Just a 5 minute drive south of Casuarina Point you can view the rare Abaco Parrot, a spectacular beauty. A day trip to one of the many outer cays, such as Hope Town with it's candy striped light house or Green Turtle Cay's sculpture garden and museum. Come enjoy the island life, relax and play! This will be the best vacation EVER!
