Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi with some of the best fishing right out your door! In the summer, the recreation possibilities are endless. If you like shopping and sight-seeing, head over to Bigfork Village to shop the boutiques, or take in a live theatre performance at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. Glacier National Park is a 'must see' and is a beautiful drive just 40 minutes from Lakeside.
Take a swim off the dock, sit and relax, sunbathe, or perhaps do some fishing. It stays light until after 10 p.m. in the summer and then the most spectacular stars can be seen.
Once you've visited the Flathead you'll see why it's considered the 'Last Best Place', and will want to return again and again!
*Four wheel drive vehicles only to get down to the house. Alternative is to park above by the garage and walk down the steep driveway to the main house.
