RED ROCK ARIZONA RETREAT

Here you will see the movie location where many westerns were filmed. Next to Old Tucson is the Desert Museum where you will see creatures that you never knew existed such as Gila monsters, the coatamundies and the giant desert turtles. Both attractions are within a scenic drive away. If you make a day of it, the Saguaro National Monument can be viewed on the way. You will see cacti that only grow in a very small part of southern Arizona. The Mission San Javier del Bac is also a scenic drive away south of Tucson. The San Javier mission is one of the most beautiful of all the missions and is called 'the Dove of the Desert'. It is part of a chain of Spanish missionary churches. The San Javier mission was established by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. It's statuary and beautiful ornate decorations are a glimpse back into time. Historians, hikers, nature lovers, movie buffs, and golfers will all be in their glory when they visit this area in Arizona. Only 20 minutes to North Tucson shopping & Dining. Overall, the mild climate and sites make this an outstanding and interesting vacation destination.
