Large, two-story, two-bedroom, one bathroom in South Bouldin area

This large (920 sq ft), bright and airy, two-story guesthouse has two bedrooms, a queen sized bed downstairs and a king sized bed upstairs, each with quality linens and bedding. Each bedroom has a small kitchenette with individual compact refrigerator, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, microwave, dinnerware, flatware, glasses and wine glasses. Please note there is no oven or stove.

Each floor has an area for sitting and reading and an area for dining. Organic coffee, tea and morning yogurt provided. Large, flat screen television with cable downstairs and smaller, flat screen television with cable upstairs. High speed wireless internet, ipod and iphone docking/charging station and stereo/CD player. A spiral staircase leads to the spacious second floor which has bamboo flooring throughout and a private balcony surrounded by 50 ft live oak trees. The balcony is a wonderful spot for enjoying morning coffee and the evening sunset. Downstairs bathroom with large, walk-in shower. Many local bakeries,coffee shops,restaurants and live music venues are within walking distance. We are only 9 miles from Austin airport and 1 block from public transportation.

Check in 3:00pm. Check out Noon. Owner lives on the property and is available to assist guests as needed!

I grew up in Amarillo and moved to Austin in 1990 to begin practicing law. I enjoy time at Lady Bird Lake and experiencing Austin's wonderful, local restaurants and cuisine.

Very near downtown, SOCO, SOLA, SOFI, and great restaurants, such as Barley Swine, Vespaio, Olivia, Uchi and Torchy's Tacos.

This property has mature, 50 foot live oak trees throughout the yard which provide a lovely landscape and surround the residence and the Treetop Guesthouse.

Swimming at Barton Springs, Zilker Park and Deep Eddy are very close by. Walking and running trails at Lady Bird Lake are less than 2 miles away. I recently returned from a girl's weekend in Austin and am so glad to have found this wonderful guesthouse! Susan was a great host! The home was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed... She also helped with suggestions on some of the activities we wanted to do.
The location is great - Close to Town Lake, SOCO and South Lamar, so paddleboarding, kayaking, great restaurants, shopping and bars are super close. I would highly recommend!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

The Treetop Guesthouse was fabulous!

We stayed there for the weekend of our sons MBA graduation from UT.

The amenities were above and beyond! Complimentary beer, bottled water, yogurt, lemons, limes, coffee, and an assortment of teas – not to mention two pieces of chocolate on each night stand ~ Also included were many toiletries that were there “just in case”.

The guesthouse was spotless and decorated so beautifully – it reminded us of something out of HGTV! The pictures on the VRBO website portray it perfectly! It shows exactly how the home looks!

A nice touch is the two kitchens – my Mom stayed downstairs and my husband and I stayed up – it was convenient that she could make her coffee when she got up and we could have ours when we got up! Separate, but together -!

Susan was the greatest – even texting us on our second day just to be sure we were happy and to make sure we asked her if we needed anything~!

We totally recommend staying there! Our son, who is a Program Manager with a company in Austin, will recommend it to his co-workers and friends, as well!

My wife and I recently stayed at the guesthouse for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was conveniently located and had sufficient parking. Susan had wonderful amenities and great suggestions about what to do and where to eat.She contacted us by email during our stay to see if we needed anything or had any questions. Stocking the refrigerator with beer, water, yogurt etc. was a very nice touch. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. For a nice overview of the Austin area, and some relevant Texas history, we recommend the tour Austin Overtures, which departs from the visitor center downtown 3 times daily. And don't forget to see the bats!

We had a lovely time staying at the Treetop Guesthouse and will certainly stay there again sometime. We were very comfortable, the guesthouse was clean, nicely appointed with attractive modern furnishings, linens and towels, thoughtfully arranged, and the owners left special treats and necessities for our needs. Located in a quiet wooded neighborhood, but very close to all fun Downtown, S Lamar and S Congress venues in the heart of Austin. The owners had compiled a nice list of their personal favorite places to eat and things to do, which was helpful, too. Thanks for a great stay!
