2 bedroom, with enclosed porch, deck, and dock on 3.4 acres

Our Blunting Blue is a fully furnished 2 bedroom house on 3.4 acres with a dock and lake frontage on Hosmer Pond. Included in the rental is: WiFi, Satellite, Utilities and 2 Pamlico 100 kayaks. The house is across the lake from the Camden Snow Bowl (where you can ski with a view of the ocean), which is Camden's recreation center: skiing, tubing, tennis, hiking, mountain biking and home of the National Toboggan Championships.

The house is less than a 5 min drive from several other hikes (Bald Rock, Fernald's Neck, Maiden's Cliff, Mt.Battie and Beech Hill Preserve), 3 miles from downtown Camden, surrounding the gorgeous Camden Harbor; with fine dining, casual dining, shopping, Schooner sailing and more, 3 miles from Laite Beach and 2 miles from the Goose River Golf Club. We are only 10 miles from downtown Rockland, Maine which is home to the Blues Festival and the Lobster festival. Rockland also has a beautiful harbor with the Breakwater lighthouse, which is a historic lighthouse at the end of a lovely walk across the 7/8 mile long breakwater.

There are two bedrooms in the house, each with a queen sized bed. The other rooms are: a bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room with a sofa sleeper, and reading nook with a futon. There is also an enclosed porch and a large outdoor deck.

Because we are dogs lovers ourselves, we do allow house-trained dogs, with a security deposit.

In Maine there is a 7% sales tax on vacation rentals, and we also charge a $75.00 cleaning fee.

About Kendra

Family of five, three children all under the age of 4. We have two dogs and love the idea of being able to provide a comfortable home for people who also like to vacation with their dogs.

We love this property because it has so much acreage and it is on the lake that abuts the Camden Snow Bowl Recreation Center. Perfect for year round outdoor activities and just a hop, skip and a jump from town.

What makes this house unique

We have two pamlico 100 kayaks (and accessories) for renters to use while they are visiting. You can walk out of the house, right down to the lake, onto our dock and take the kayaks for a ride on the gorgeous lake surrounded by Ragged Mountain (Camden Snow Bowl Recreation Center).

Our stay at this cute house was fantastic! It was furnished very nicely, had a great layout, was clean and comfortable. My teenage boys loved that the Camden Snow Bowl was right there and took advantage of some great skiing and snowboarding. This is most definately the nicest rental I have ever stayed in and we'll be back when it warms up to go kayaking on the lake!

The house was lovely, charming and peaceful. Tucked away on a country road about 3 miles from downtown Camden. We skied at Camden Snow Bowl during the day (about 1/2 mile up the road) and enjoyed dinner in town at night. The hosts were very responsive and helpful and we were pleased that the house came equipped with everything we needed; towels, pillows, blankets, shampoo, plates and other kitchen essentials. Definitely a great place for a family or friends looking for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommended.

What an adorable truly relaxing home and location! Seconds away from skiing..minutes away from everything else a family would need! Lovely setting near the water for kayaking or canoeing. Very quiet and peaceful! It was a joy to watch the deer on the back lawn everynight

Winter Getaway

My boyfriend and I rented the house for a week and had a great winter vacation! The house is adorable, warm and cozy. It is located on a pond in the woods but close to town, very private and peaceful. We were able to kayak on the pond and ski, tube and snowshoe at Camden Bowl (were able to walk to the Bowl!!). My favorite event was the hike we did with views of the ocean, (Im forgetting the name but the owners made the suggestion so they will know), it was really beautiful! One day we drove to Sunday River to try skiing at a larger mountain which was great! Camden is a beautiful town. We did lots of holiday shopping and had a great meal at Cappy's. Overall, we had s perfect winter vacation! The owners are very nice and know the area well. They really helped to make sure we were able to take advantage of all the secrets of Camden. I highly suggest this rental!!
