Newly Renovated!! Welcome to our open and airy condo (1000 sq ft), just 3 blocks away from the main chair lift, Chili Express, in Angel Fire. Less than two miles from the fabulous Angel Fire Resort Golf and Country Club, guests can enjoy the fitness center, new club house, indoor swimming pool and 18 hole championship golf course.
We love the convenience of Angel Fire skiing and think you will too. By utilizing the resort's overnight ski storage, lugging equipment is a thing of the past.** We offer our guests discounted equipment rentals, so you will SAVE BIG by staying at our condo. *** And don't forget that 5TH GRADERS SKI FREE!!! (See resort sight for specifics on this offer).
Our goal is simple. We want to provide a clean, safe environment for you and your family to come and enjoy Angel Fire and all it has to offer at a price that is affordable to all.
The previous owner bought the unit when it was brand new and took extremely good care of it, so the unit is in excellent condition and shows no signs of pets or smoking in the unit (neither of which are allowed).
The master bedroom has a queen bed and an on suite full bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have a deck on the back. There is also a deck on the front of the condo, so 2 decks!! The loveseat and the sofa in the living room have a pull out (this is the extra 2 sleeping spots to equal 8). The living area has a wood-burning fireplace, cable TV, internet and a DVD player. The full kitchen is exceptionally large, open plan and is fully equipped with all major appliances, including oven/range, refrigerator, Jenn-Aire grill, dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave and a stackable front loading washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, cookie sheets and cooking utensils. All you need to do is bring your food! There is seating for 4 at the kitchen bar and a dining table that seats 6. This property has not been in a rental pool before.
Situated at 8,600 feet, Angel Fire's climate is perfect. The temperatures are mild enough to ski comfortably in the winter/spring and yet cool enough in the summer months to enjoy being outside as much as you like. It is a great place to escape the sweltering summer heat in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and other surrounding states, because Angel Fire rarely sees temperatures above 80 degrees. Another perk to Angel Fire is that it is 3 to 4 hours closer than any other ski resorts in Colorado if you are traveling from the east.
There are also lots of things to do in the summer. As of July 2012, you can zipline at Angel Fire. Take a ride up the ski lift to see the beautiful Rocky Mountains from the top of the ski mountain. The trip back down can be as easy or as challenging as you want it to be. Hike, bike (yes, you can hang your bike on the lift and ride it down), take a casual stroll or just stay on the lift and enjoy the ride back to the bottom. Regardless of what you choose, you can't go wrong.
For fishing enthusiasts this is the place to be. Eagle Nest lake is about five miles away and is full of trout, Kokanee Salmon, yellow perch and even a few unwelcome pike. If you prefer streams, you can drive about five more miles and fish for trout in the Cimarron River or head 30 minutes over to Taos to fish one of the many streams in that region.
Here are some other summertime choices: How about whitewater rafting just down the road in Taos or renting four wheelers, ATV's or horses to ride in the mountains around Angel Fire.
For the shoppers out there, you will find plenty of places to browse in Angel Fire, Eagle Nest (10 minutes), Taos and Red River (45 minutes).
Skiing is the obvious activity in the winter for most visitors. But, if you want a change of pace, try the tubing hill, night skiing or rent snowmobiles to ride in the mountains.
No matter what season it is, Angel Fire has BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS and TREMENDOUS AMOUNTS OF WILDLIFE. It is not uncommon to see elk and mule deer as you drive around Angel Fire. You might even catch a glimpse of a black bear, mountain lion or bobcat. Bald Eagles and other birds of prey are also common in the area, especially around Eagle Nest Lake. No telephone, bring your cell phone.

We fell in love with Angel Fire and always wanted a place with great skiing as well as summer outdoor activities. Our condo is a great place to escape the Texas heat in the summer!
Close to great skiing, hiking, fishing, biking and great art. Our condo is a great, comfortable place to come home to after a long day out. Situated at the end of a road with no other condos around, you really feel like you are in the mountains.
My wife, two friends, and I stayed three nights. The condo was very clean and very comfortable. We cooked each evening and found the kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
I took my son, a college senior, and several of his buddies to Angel Fire for three days of snow boarding. This condo was the perfect lodging for our trip. It was a reasonable walk from the lifts and a great place to come back to after a day on the mountain. We were able to save on our expenses by preparing most of our meals in the condo. The Bakers were very accommodating, even providing us with tips about the best places to rent equipment and grab a meal when we did want to eat out. Would definitely rent this condo again.
My wife and two kids (6 and 10) visited Angelfire for the first time over the new year holiday. Snow was perfect although very cold for the Texans a few days.
The condo fit our needs perfectly. A lot of space and all the kitchen supplies we needed. The fire place was great. The beds, even the sofa bed my son slept on, we're very comfortable. Angelfire is a small town but the condo was right in the middle of everything.
The best part was the area to sled just outside the front door. After a day on the mountain my kids loved to hang out in the snow while we my wife and I watched from the condo.
We will be back.
Family of five from Texas took a ski trip to Angle Fire during Christmas and spent the week. Had a wonderful time. The Skiing was awesome and the stay at the condo was fantastic. Going to the lift, we drove to a nearby parking lot and took free shuttles there. Kid’s enjoyed all activities such skiing, tubing at the slope, and sledding at the country club 10 min down the main road. Rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable. Washer and drier as well as a full kitchen are a plus with soap and detergent provided. Cable TV and WiFi are available for kids during their evening play time. No complain whatsoever so I was very glad. Owner was friendly and very responsive and answered all my questions promptly before our trip. Thanks.
Very Clean and Comfortable Condo, walking distance to lift. Family get together with 3 daughters and two spouses. Suitable for Winter, Summer activities in Moreno Valley, Enchanted Circle in Northern NM. Owner very friendly and helpful. Flexible and very cost efficient.
We booked a condo because the resort was full; in hindsight we'd book the condo and forego the resort for future visits! Having a washer and dryer in the condo was HUGE; no need to buy or pack extra sets of socks, long underwear, etc. We also saved a ton utilizing the full kitchen to cook our own food (there aren't as many area restaurants as I hoped, and at the close of the slopes they filled up with a long wait time). Being in a condo community, there was also room for the kids to play outside and meet other kids; something else the resort doesn't offer. The condo was plenty large and warm enough for us to spread out and relax and close enough to make quick pit stops from the slopes anytime we wished. A wood burning fireplace in the living area only added to the "ski trip feel"- another condo exclusive! We did lock ourselves out one day, and was relieved to find the management office nearby, staffed and friendly. As for proximity, we made the walk once, but the shuttle/parking lot was always available and speedy making it convenient to drive the couple of blocks and keep our toes warm. :) There is a shuttle that does drop less than a block away in the community for a few bucks or punch card for those without a car. Thanks for a great experience!!
In the winter you can also snowmobile, tube down the Polar Coaster, night ski and take sleigh rides. After the snow melts you can also take 4 wheeling and ATV tours, take scenic chair lift rides, play some disc golf or go on the Zip Line Adventure Tour.
