Perfect Uptown getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I travel to New Orleans every few years and stay in a different neighborhood each time. This was our first time staying in the Uptown/Magazine district and we couldn't have picked a better place. The apartment is exactly as advertised--everything was well taken care of and very comfortable. The location was perfectly located for walking around the area, as there were plenty of restaurants, bars, a great sno-ball stand and lots of unique shopping and beautiful houses to see in the neighborhood. It was also literally just a few steps from the #11 bus line which takes you either to the French Quarter or to Audubon Park/Zoo, and everywhere in between (Warehouse District, Garden District). There is a Whole Foods and a Rouses grocery about 5 minutes away, so plenty of options for staying home and cooking there. Even though it is located so close to Magazine, it is still a quiet neighborhood without any ambient noise from the local hot spots. Lance was perfectly gracious and accommodating to all of our needs--even came up with an extra chair on a moment's notice to use on the front porch and soak in the neighborhood over morning coffee. Not sure when we'll be back in this area, but we'd certainly stay here again. Well worth it and just what we were looking for.

The property was gorgeous and in a perfect location. Lance was the best landlord ever! This rental is a steal at its current rate and couldn't be managed better. We couldn't be happier with the decision to stay here

Awesome Location and Nice Place!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this apartment is perfect...only within a few steps from Magazine street and only a few blocks from the St. Charles Street Car. The Uptown district is a nice place to stay...close enough to the French Quarter and other places, yet far enough away that you can enjoy low-key and quiet nights. We did rent a car, but preferred to use the Street Car when possible. The Street Car, being the oldest one in the world is very unique! It allows you to easily get around the city and see some historic homes and sites of New Orleans. Magazine Street is fantastic! The first night we got there it was pretty cold out, but we easily walked to Magazine Street to find a place to eat. Magazine street is very unique and as many eateries, bars, and shops. It is a busy street, but since the apartment is a few steps off Magazine, you aren't able to hear all the traffic. We chose to stay in Uptown because my brother lives a few minutes away from this location. We were very happy with our choice to stay here as it was very clean, quiet, and safe!

The place is an upstairs apartment, so there will be a few stairs to climb which was no issue for us. The place was perfect for the 4 of us as it was large enough to accomodate our needs. The leather furniture is very nice and comfortable, beds are super comfortable, towels are very large and kitchen isn't huge but modern and is big enough to cook a few meals. We also appreciated the large flat-screen TV as we were able to watch our favorite sports team play one evening. The internet was also very reliable and we used it while staying here. This place even has a drive to park in, which is super convenient and hard to come by in New Orleans.

The owner is very easy to get ahold of. There was a mix-up with parking in the driveway but he got it taken care of and even offered to park on the street so we could use the driveway. He also allowed us a late check out on our last day so we could travel and enjoy the city one last day. I would definitely recommend staying here as the price is PERFECT and very affordable! We couldn't have asked for a better place or location.

Great location with comfortable furniture and good amenities

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is in a good location right off Magazine street near Napoleon. The owner met us upon arrival and lives below which is good in case anything comes up. The apartment was not large but big enough to relax in. The master bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was small but had coffee pot, dishes, pots and pans and what we needed to make breakfast for a few days. There was starter everything to include some extra bath items which was good. The owner also had a pack and play ready for our arrival which really helped out. there are several good restaurants in walking distance as well as lots of shopping and bars. i would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere safe to stay uptown thats within walking of distance of the good parts of magazine street.

Location couldn't be any better!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay especially if you just want to explore the area. Literally just 10 seconds from Magazine street, you can explore all the shopping the area has to offer with awesome restaurants scattered along the way. It's also in a very safe area.

Being a native from New Orleans, the apartment was a traditional victorian style with a little added charm (old floors, very high ceilings, old mixed with new). Wife and family loved it while we stayed there and will be our choice for future visits when we don't want to stay at a family members house.

Lance the owner was great, always made sure to get back with me if I had any issues. Definitely wouldn't hesitate recommending his place to anyone.

Located in Uptown New Orleans and is a stones throw from amazing Magazine Street shops and restaurants. This is a very walkable space that is 100 feet from the bus line and 5 blocks to the world famous St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line. I have lived in and owned this property for 15 years. It is MY personal favorite location in New Orleans. Just off Magazine Street between Louisiana and Napoleon Avenues. It offers off-street parking and unit is a completely renovated 800 sq foot apartment with central A/C and heat. This 2 bedroom and 1 bath apartment features one King and one Queen bed with new linens and 1200 thread count sheets . The 12 foot ceilings and newly refinished hardwood floors are original 1900s structure. The kitchen has new granite countertops and sink with a stackable in unit washer and dryer. There is a 50 inch flat screen tv in the living room with cable and WIFI included. There is a new left side chase leather couch that seats 4 comfortably. You are centrally located uptown for incredible shopping with 5 award winning eateries less than 2 miles from the apartment. Some of these include Lilette, The Bouligny Tavern, Cafe Atchafalaya, Commanders Palace, La Petit Grocery, and at least 20 more I don't have space to list. New Orleans is known for its amazing food and we are located in the heart of it. The Audubon Zoo and Park are less than 3 miles up the street. We are very close to fun libations and live music. The apartment is also just 5 blocks from the Mardi Gras uptown parade routes. I would love to meet you and have you stay in the apartment. I live on the premises and allow 5 guests max. This is not the French Quarter craziness and I like it that way.. Thanks for looking, and I hope to see you soon. Guests over 25 please. Thanks for reading. LP
