2 Rental Units - The Cottage (2 bedrooms), The Terrace (3 bedrooms)

Yewit Center is an elegant 12,000 sq. ft. two-structure complex on 7 acres of breathtaking mountain landscape in the heart of the North Georgia Appalachian Mountains. It is the vision of Yewit Center to provide memorable and refreshing vacation rentals to our guests.

There are two rental units at Yewit Center. The first is the Cottage rental in the smaller structure and the second is the Terrace Level rental located in the main building. Both units are equipped with full kitchens, linens, towels, cooking and eating utensils, washer and dryer, pillows, comforters, and more. It is our goal at Yewit Center to provide basic necessities for comfortable living to all our guests.

The Cottage is a 1200 sq. ft. two bedroom vacation rental with full deck that overlooks the stocked pond and the lower tiers of the west side of the property. The waterfall from the pond can be heard in the lower field from the full furnished deck. A gas grill is provided as well as a 32' HDTV with cable service and free WIFI. The Cottage sleeps 4 and with the pull-out sofas can sleep up to 8.

The 3 bedroom 1700 sq. ft.Terrace Level rental is 'Handicap Friendly' and is located in the main building of Yewit Center. The Terrace Level rental sleeps 7 and with the pullout sofa beds it sleeps 11 with plenty of room for temporary bedding. The Terrace Level rental has parking directly at the entrance, large bathroom with 36' door, and easy access off of GA Hwy 339 (which is Crooked Creek Rd.).

In addition, all guests have fishing rights to our private stocked pond (large mouth bass, croppie, brim, blue gill) as well as having access to Frog Hollow, the unique all-purpose rec room at Yewit Center. Frog Hollow boasts a 46' HDTV with HDMI hookup, a wet bar (unstocked), pinball, foosball, darts, card table, PA system, indoor golf driving range, 8' slate pool table, and more. Ideal fun for young and old alike.

In one of the most beautiful and picturesque regions on the planet Yewit Center is centrally located between the North Georgia Mountain towns of Young Harris and Hiawassee and is only a few miles from historic Hayesville, NC. Lake Chatuge is about 1 mile from Yewit Center and is considered one of the most enchanting lakes in the Southern US with offerings of a wide variety of water sports and activities. About Keith Soltys & Ursula Hargreaves

It's hard to imagine that the vision for Yewit Center was birthed through a fairytale romance that began in Venice, Italy in the Spring 2010. Ursula and I met while working on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. Ursi was a chief nurse and I a musician. Well, as you can imagine one thing led to another.......We spent a lot of time visiting different ports but none as memorable as our several visits to Venice. When our contracts ended Ursi came to meet my family which had relocated to the mountains of Hayesville, NC over the last decade. During that trip Ursi and I knew that we wanted to be together but there were difficulties. Ursi was raised in Switzerland with sometime in Africa and was currently living in Manchester, England. I was raised on Long Island, NY and had lived in many locations in America and Europe. Then one day as we were looking at properties we came across what would become Yewit Center. Ursi relocated to Young Harris, GA and we dedicated ourselves to the vision of Yewit Center. The first event was a wedding on March 31, 2012...it was ours. With friends and family from both Europe and America attending on these spectacular grounds we truly had our most fondest of all memories! It is our hope to provide for you a venue or vacation spot that will be truly a wonderful memory as ours already is for years to come. God Bless!

In all our travels we never thought that we could find a location that had all in nature and living that we loved. We were truly humbled when we stepped on this property for the first time. Mountains, water, streams, wildlife, elegant living, sunshine, shade, colors, tranquility, nightlife, community, sporting activities, seclusion, easy access, and more. Also, we recognized in ourselves that we love to host guests and events. Since we both enjoy being productive what better endeavor for our new marriage than to provide a unique vacation rental and venue for our guests and clients on this spectacular and what we think perfect location. We love what we do and where we live and we get to share it with you all.

What makes this cottage unique

The greatest benefit of Yewit Center is that you can make it what you need it to be. If you desire a peaceful and tranquil getaway or an exciting activity filled day with night life Yewit Center is the ideal vacation rental. Being only 1 mile from Lake Chatuge and a couple of miles from Hiawassee, Young Harris, GA and Hayesville, NC mountain and lake activities such as hiking, golfing, zip lines, jet skiing, water cable park, etc. as well as wonderful restaurants, shops, cinemas, and fun parks are all within minutes. Also the attractions within a one hour drive from Yewit Center is almost endless (Helen, GA, Casinos in Cherokee, NC, etc.) But if you desire peace and quiet Yewit Center can provide that tranquil space needed to relax. So many times in our travels we'd be in places that were wonderful but we were restless to do something but there was nothing for us and other times we'd be in a spectacular setting but it was to 'energetic' and we just wanted to be quiet but couldn't find the space. That is frustrating to say the least when you are on vacation spending money and can't get what you really need. At Yewit Center the unique benefit is that you are able to get what you are personally looking for in the way of excitement or relaxation and we will do everything to help you achieve your desire for your vacation rental.

Zip lines, water parks, jet and pontoon rentals, and other mountain and lake activities are becoming increasingly popular in the North Georgia Western North Carolina Region (not to mention white water rafting, tubing, hiking, fly fishing, golf, and whole lot more.) Quite a few of our guests will come for the North Georgia Mountain Fairs in the Summer and Fall as well as to Anderson Music Hall on the Fair Grounds. Such recent acts include: George Jones, Willie Nelson, Casting Crowns, Vince Gill, to name a few. On any given weekend there is always some kind of event happening in the area. Many also travel over to Helen, GA which is a Bavarian community that knows how to show folks a great time from food to events. Also, just east of our location is where such films as The Fugitive and Deliverance where shot. The most recent film which was shot in Young Harris, GA is The Curve starring Clint Eastwood which many of our friends where extras in. To get a full picture of what is going on check out The Towns County Chamber of Commerce website .They do a great job and we are proud to partner with them.
