Having spent many holidays at Amelia Island and a number of those holidays in this charming Townhome, I definitely will return again and again. The property is quiet and virtually surrounded by nature: hummingbirds, cardinals, the marsh birds that fly home to roost at sunset; and the close sound of a woodpecker in the trees nearby gives the impression of being in a nature preserve. To sit on the patio with a "sundowner" watching the golfers finish their round, and the glorious sunset through the oaks draped with Spanish Moss, all is well in the world! Family holidays are perfect in this comfortable home which offers the congeniality of a family gathering in the living room to watch the big game or around the dining table for a meal, and the privacy and peace of any one of the three spacious bedrooms. The decor and furnishings are charming and comfortable. Every bedroom has an en suite bath and sliders to balconies or to the outside. The back wall of the dining and living room is a glass framed view of the patio garden with large eating area and the luxurious golf course that blends into the marsh beyond. The area is a golfer's dream with the course on the Plantation and others to choose from in the immediate area. The pool is a great place to relax on a lounge with a book while the kids splash; furthermore, it is never crowded! On the other side of the Plantation is the wide beach offering clean soft sand and, near the shoreline, hard-packed sand for jogging. The gentle waves and wide beach are safe for the younger kids, with the occasional surf opportunity for the teens. It is easy to rent an umbrella and beach chairs, if desired. I recommend the Plantation Spa for the luxurious treat of a massage and there are gym facilities for working out. I have sampled every restaurant on the Plantation and never been disappointed. The options for eating, all within walking or golf cart range, go from casual sports bar to a more formal eating experience at the Ocean Club. The shops on the plantation and surrounding area are interesting for browsing. Although we explored the Plantation on foot and with a golf cart, it is easy to rent a car and drive to the nearby Fernandina Beach, a charming little town filled with historic houses and a main street that leads to the marina offering another great eating opportunity. This house, in this location, offers a family holiday that will be memorable. I highly recommend this property for your next "getaway"

Owner's Response: Thank you SO MUCH for your kind words, and please come back soon!!
Because we've lived here so long, we tend to forget how lovely the Plantation is --- so to be reminded of it's beauty is wonderful to hear. We're glad you cited the back patio and watching golfers head down the 9th fairway in the early evening - that's our favorite time of day and a key reason we purchased our home here.
Thanks again and Best wishes - Hope to see you soon!
