4 bedroom ,3 bath home with spectacular views with private pool

Enjoy the off shore breezes while sitting in the upper Palapa enjoying your morning coffee overlooking San Juan del Sur and Bahia Nascacola. You can have your breakfast in the orchid garden while listening to the howler monkey's in the nearby forest. You can sit by the pool in complete privacy and enjoy the tranquil countryside. We are about 10 minutes from town which offers great restaurants, shopping and casinos. Our house has two wings with two private bedrooms and baths on the one side along with the main house that has a Jack and Jill bedroom that shares the other bath. The kitchen and living room are also on this side. Our caretaker is available to maintain the house, pool and would be available to help with laundry as needed.

About Norman Maywright

My wife and I came to the San Juan del Sur area recently and fell in love with this house. Originally I just wanted to do my own 'House Hunters International Tour' mainly as an activity and we ended up homeowners! This area reminds me of where I grew up in the hills of Pompey, NY, just south of Syracuse. The views here are endless and we don't have to worry here about snow!

We bought this property because of the hilltop setting and great space it offers for our families. the house can comfortably sleep 8 people which suits our needs perfectly. We came to this area based on friends reviews and we not disappointed. The friendliness of the community and the expanding ex-pats that live there make it a safe, warm and enjoying place to visit and live.

What makes this house unique

We love sitting in the upper palapa (thatched roof area) drinking our morning coffee and looking out over the grandeur of the Pacific Ocean. In the afternoons we can relax by or in the 'cocktail' pool, in complete quiet reading our favorite books.

Secluded Retreat with Amazing Ocean and Sunset Views

We stayed for 10 days with our extended family, three couples and two kids and had plenty of room to relax and stretch out. The pool was nice and refreshing and was well maintained, cleaned daily by the care taker. There are excellent breezes that keep you comfortable during the day and air conditioning available if it gets hot at night. This house is the very top of the hill with no other houses above it so it is very private. Currently the road to the house is very rocky and you need to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle or there are 4 wheel drive taxis available to take you to and from town. We are in decent shape and we walked to and from town which wasn't an issue, but the hill might be if you are not in good shape. We rented 4 wheeler ATVs and had a great time. You also need 4 wheel drive vehicles or ATVs to get to some of the best beaches as they are down long dirt roads. The town itself has everything you could want including an amazing bread bakery and fresh fish vendors and a fruit and vegetable market and many good restaurants and bars. We felt safe at all times with our young children. The owners are wonderful people and nice to deal with. The pictures are a good representation except of the sunset...the sun sets are amazing, probably the best we have ever seen and you can't capture it with a picture. Enjoy!

We loved our 10 day stay at Casa Linda. My husband and I were interested in birding ( we saw many new bird species), hiking ( explored all around the San Juan del Sur area... found howler monkeys among quite a few other first time sightings ), relaxing and reading ( read a couple of books and slept in the hammocks). Enjoying our morning coffee and breakfast while watching morning come to the hill from the palapa and sipping our afternoon refreshments beside the pool were two of our favorite times at Casa Linda. The sunsets were spectacular. The description and photos of the property were accurate, owners were helpful, and we recommend this rental to others. San Juan del Sur is a small but interesting beach town, with delicious fish, tasty fruits and veggies, and delicious coffee.
We look forward to another chance to visit Casa Linda.
