Never Wanted to Leave!

  • 5 of 5
We booked the cabin expecting to have a relaxing 4 day long weekend and we were not disappointed. The location was beautiful and peaceful with gorgeous views of the lake. The cabin itself was perfect and had everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs loved exploring the trails surrounding the cabin as well. My only complaint was that our experience ended too soon. Next time we will book a longer stay.

Romantic, Secluded, Snowmobilers Welcome

We stayed here for our Honeymoon and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin was clean and enjoyable and the neighbor who lives down the hill was friendly and stocked our wood pile for us. Unfortunately we had a minor accident while sledding so we had to cut our stay short. The owners were sympathetic and even gave us a refund for our last night. We are looking forward to going back!

Must stay hideaway!!!

  • 5 of 5
After a fabulous US West coast road trip and a few days in the enjoyable bustle of Vancouver my Wife and I were ready for a good few days in a secluded cabin away from it all. My wife had always wanted to stay in a log cabin by a lake. That picture postcard image we all know.
However, we were not expecting it to be SOOOO picture postcard.........it was AWESOME!!!
The cabin is brilliantly tucked away, on it's own land, and has everything you need for a week or more, to get totally away from the rat race.
It was clean, very comfortable, and had all the facilities that you have at home but would not necessarily expect in a log cabin. The open plan and homely decor gives the cabin a very traditional feel. It has a great stove, kitchen, bathroom and fab sleeping balcony.
Great use of large windows allows natural light in, and no matter what the weather outside, it was always homely and cosy inside.
Location is superb, with Pemberton so close (and having everything you need), and lakes, glaciers, and numerous walks all to hand. The creek just below the cabin is something to see and so close, and the beach down on the lake looks like from another time and age with its washed up and bleached trees and branches.
Joffre Lakes is a must and Matier Glacier at the top lake is out of this world.
We were speechless when we saw the cabin at first......it is quite a sight as you drive up and around the corner and see it in front of you. As the days went on we relaxed so much we didn't do anything for 4 days apart from sit outside, read, bbq, admire the view, then in the evening get the stove burning and watch a dvd.
If you are looking for that true 'drop out of society' getaway then this place is where you need to go.
We had met the owner in Vancouver prior to arriving and found him to be a very genuine and very helpful chap, offering to be on the end of a phone call whenever required.

We had a fantastic stay here. Without doubt we would stay here again. Perhaps it needs a name...............'Cinnamon Cabin', as we were told that Cinnamon bears roam around the woods. It has everything else.

Totally......utterly.......without hesitation recommend this cabin.

Owner's Response: Thanks very much for your kind words. So happy you had a great stay! I like your suggested name for the cabin...might have to use that! Especially since we saw a Cinnamon Bear about three weeks ago wondering around with her cubs.
Cheers,
Scott.

Great Getaway from city

  • 5 of 5
Thanks Scott for such amazing cabin and place to relax! My wife's due day is in Nov so luckily we found this cabin as our last trip this year.
The cabin is cozy and clean with lots of space ...and at night all you can hear outside is the sound of river and hang out beside bonfire. It's truly a getaway from busy city life and 3 days is definitely too short lol
We will be coming back next year with our daughter for sure!

Exactly what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5
My partner and I were both in need of a pause from work, technology and general city-living, and were lucky enough to stumble across Scott's add here.

Everything is as described and depicted: A spacious, fully-furnished log cabin with an incredible view of the lake and mountains; it's remote enough to allow you to forget about the world around, yet still only a short haul to Pemberton should you find yourself running low on milk, beer or coal for the barbeque. There's even a picturesque, mossy, creek, complete with waterfalls, on the their property that would be an amazing playground for kids and perfect for any adult looking to enjoy the calming sounds of running water.

And while it was hard to pull ourselves away from lazing about the property, I'm glad we did. There's tons to see and do for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. We particularly enjoyed the trip down to the Skookumchuck hot springs, poking around the driftwood at Strawberry Beach and a couple of hikes that were only a short drive away. And if you're not familiar with the area, don't bother doing any research as Scott will provide you with detailed directions and descriptions to all the local hotspots.

So, if you already like what you've seen from this posting, don't hesitate in contacting Scott. He was a pleasure to deal with and we were honoured to have been entrusted with his little slice of paradise.
