'Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. We really enjoyed our stay in Inti villa-beautiful house, amazing views, great location. We also enjoyed Exuma, the boat tour with Captain Bob (Coastline adventures), feeding the stingrays, taking a stroll from north to south. Our favorite restaurants were Blu, next door at the Exuma Palms (absolutely delicious) and Santana's in Little Exuma.'

My wife and I stayed at Inti Villas for 8 days and would stay again when back in Exuma. The house was beautiful with all the amenities you would need to escape from the real world. There is A/C in both bedrooms and the downstairs living area although with all the windows and doors is not necessary as there is a ocean breeze 24/7. The view of Three Sisters Beach is absolutely stunning, although a bit rough for swimming. No worries, there are literally dozens beaches along the main highway.
I didn't have the privilege to meet Danielle face-to-face, but she checked on us via telephone periodically throughout the week to make sure we had what we needed. We had one very minor plumbing issue with the outdoor shower that was fixed within an hour after we alerted her.
A rental car is a must and recommend you make the trip to Little Exuma. The beaches are just amazing. Folks talk about the beauty of Tropic of Cancer beach (and trust me, it is), but we were able to find a cove with the best beach I have ever stepped on in my life. Don't know the name of it, but it is a couple miles west of Tropic of Cancer beach. We spent hours floating in the calm blue waters, lying on the pink, white sand and never saw a single person. I highly recommend finding it.
I would also recommend having a cocktail at Lattitudes in Georgetown. Drinks are strong, service was great and the view of the harbor is amazing. It is located at the Exuma Beach Resort.
Big D's Conch Shack was another highlight for us. Conch salad and fritters are amazing. Make sure you meet Big D. He is wonderful and took us out on his boat for a private tour of the cays.
Inti Villas is the perfect getaway for those looking for an alternative to the big resorts. If privacy and seclusion with loved ones and friends is what you are seeking, book now.
My husband and I spent a very special week at Inti Villa, Great Exuma, Bahamas.
Our stay in Exuma and at Inti, specifically, was exactly what we needed.. a private (and I do mean private), restful getaway with a spectacular beach at our doorstep.
The Villa itself is exceptionally spacious (with two large bedrooms complete with en suite bathrooms as well as a 'Great Room' combining living room - dining area and kitchen), clean, bright and very comfortable. The pictures posted are accurate.
When we opened the many french doors, the ocean breeze and sound of the waves were perfectly soothing.
We found all the conveniences of home, with a complete, upscale kitchen, bath & bed linens, Wi Fi, A/C and even a rustic outdoor shower, well hidden from view (my husband FULLY embraced the opportunity to shower outdoors in the buff..even kept a bar of soap wrapped in a native Sea Grape leaf outdoors for his ease!)
The one downside was the lack of a stair leading down to the beach. The path is a little steep, but manageable.
The Property Manager was very gracious and accommodating, giving us all the information we needed. The people of Exuma are very warm and welcoming.
We did not do much in the way of activities as we went primarily for R&R, but we would recommend a trip into Georgetown to have a sample of the native fare.
If you desire tranquility, privacy and comfort on a beautiful beach...Inti is the place for you!
What a pleasure it was to stay at Inti Villas! Danielle is a very thoughtful and considerate host. She greeted us herself upon our arrival and came again when it was time to leave. The villa is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are windows everywhere so the view is gorgeous from all rooms. We spent a lot of time on the veranda facing the ocean as we could never get enough of that view. Three sisters beach is beautiful – all shades of blue and turquoise and almost deserted. It was relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. The waves could be a bit of a challenge for us novice swimmers so we found a public strip of beach adjacent to the Sandals that was perfect, just a very short drive from where we were located. You do need a car to explore the island – the main road is very well kept. The house is fully equipped, even has bug spray. Unfortunately, the bugs really liked us, despite the spray ?. The wi-fi internet connection was reliable all day – no issues to raise here. We really liked the Blu restaurant which is a short stroll from Inti Villas on the beach. The only change we would like to see in the future is a few more payment options as the bank-to-bank transfer was a bit costly and time consuming for us Canadians.
Sheer curtains blowing in the breeze, crystal clear turquoise water, sailboats on the horizon, secluded pink sandy beach, gorgeous sunrises while sipping coffee on the porch...perfect Bahama daydreams come true. That is what you will find at Inti Villa! From the moment we entered the villa we knew we were in for a special vacation. The Villa is beautifully appointed with care given to the smallest detail. All conveniences are what North American travellers expect in an accomodation of this calibre.
We rented a car across from the airport for our 10 day stay. Ask about their weekly rental to get one day free. This enabled us to explore Exuma from end to end, do boat tours, visit small towns, shop in Georgetown and frequent local shops for groceries. Restaurants we enjoyed were Big D's for conch salad, Catch A Fire to watch the sunset, Exuma Palms Hotel-a short walk down the beach-and the restaurants and bars at Augusta Bay. Wifi was not an issue for us. It worked perfectly.
If you are looking for a quiet beach get away then Inti Villa is the place for you...just remember...everything is done in "island time"...no rushing allowed! Sit back and relax...island style.
We just got home after staying at Inti Villa for 5 days. Our trip was incredible. Danielle is the most wonderful hostess! She met us at the house to make sure we were happy with the property. The finishes inside this house are gorgeous!! We loved the open floor plan downstairs. The gourmet kitchen was great. Porches everywhere so you can sit out and enjoy the scenery from any room! Upstairs the two bedrooms are a great size and the bathrooms are incredible nice also. It was so nice to wake up to the gorgeous shades of blue in the ocean. Each day the blues of the ocean were a different color. It was breathtaking!! We walked right out to the beach and could swim out to several different coral reefs for snorkeling.
Although Danielle had the internet/phone company come out and check the internet on more than one occasion, we did have issues staying hooked up to the internet. However, who wants to work anyway when down in the Bahamas?! It was a blessing, actually :) So just don't expect to have internet the whole time you are there. It's truly "island style" meaning it works when it wants to!
We did the all-day excursion with Captain Bob. This was well worth the $, I can promise!! For $160 a person, the taxi comes and picks you up and takes you to the boat. You are out from about 830-5p. We rode around to all of the different "cays" and islands. We swam with sharks, saw the swimming pigs, fed iguanas, snorkeled at Thunderball Grotto (James Bond), stopped for lunch, watched Capt. Bob jump in the ocean to find conch (so he could make the delicious conch salad for us later on at the huge sand bar you can hang out at), and so much more. He knows so much about the islands and educates you while you sip on beer, rum punch, waters, or sodas. You can also take a taxi into Georgetown ($80 roundtrip) and catch the water taxi ($12 roundtrip) over to an island where you can feed the stingrays. There is a beach and a cool bar with fantastic food and cocktails. It's a great way to spend the day (or afternoon).
Inti Villa is a fantastic place to stay. It's private, the beach is secluded, and you will feel like you are on your own private island. We might have only seen 2 people a day on the beach! It's truly paradise!!
One can go bone fishing, birdwatching, shelling, snorkeling, kite flying, scuba diving, swimming with the pigs, touring in the national park system, visiting ruins and old plantations. You can also visit the salt ponds, the Pompey statue, attend the home comings the regattas and the music and food/art festival. Nothing is far in Exuma..just be sure to get a car so that you can travel from one end of the island to the other..the adventure is a good one.
